he was dressed in a muscle tank and was already suited in his bathing suit. they didn't joke around here in Australia.

and then he spun around from the counter and made his way over to me, slowly placing the mug in front of me.

"be careful it's hot." he said with a chuckle and took a seat across my way.

i weakly smiled before bringing the mug to my lips and blowing softly down at the liquid.

there was a long silent pause, before the both of us started talking.

he cleared his throat, "jetlag got the best of ya, huh?"

my eyes flicked up from the coffee and into his familiar blue eyes, "mhmm." i hummed softly and took a slow sip of the hot liquid.

more awkward silence fell between us as we both went for long sips of coffee.

and then suddenly as it was silent, my eyes peered up from the mug and peaked at jacks face.

i couldn't help but compare him to luke, which made me incredibly happy.

the baby blue eyes, tiny dimples, nice bone structure, and cute nose.

and then jacks eyes stared into mine, "what?" he said with a chuckle, questioning why i was bluntly staring at him.

i shook my head to snap out of it, "im sorry you just look so much like luke." i chuckled a little bit.

he shrugged his broad shoulders, "well i am his brother."

i nodded, "he's definitely got a deeper voice, though." i teased.

this made him chuckle a little bit, "it hasn't always been that way, he was a little chubby boy with fringe hair in middle school."

i couldn't help but smile to myself at the thought of this. luke really liked to emphasize the fact that he was not popular as a kid, or even the slightest bit attractive.

but I found it rather cute how he spent his time alone with calum playing video games.

"how cute." i giggled while bringing my mug up to my lips again.

"I have got to show you these old videos i found of him on our old computer." his voice piped up as he mentioned this.

i gave him a confused glance, "well what are they?"

jack shook his head, laughing pathetically at his brother, "he used to record himself singing covers into this shitty quality camera."

my hand covered my mouth in disbelief, "no way."

my heart couldn't handle how cute he was. why did Luke never mention any of this stuff?

"yes," jack nodded with a giant grin on his face, "guitar and everything."

i knew that luke played guitar from seeing one in his room multiple times.

but every time i asked for him to play for me he would just shake it off and tell me he would do it another time.

but calum used to mention he would play alone, but i never knew he sang too.

this whole conversation had me smiling like an idiot.

was it weird to admit that I adored talking about my boyfriend?

"but luke would never play for anyone," jack shook his head abruptly to emphasize this, "not even you."

"not even me?" i echoed, questioning this.

he nodded quickly, "no chance."

and then I crossed my arms over my chest and leaned back into the wooden chair, "ill take that as a challenge."
