Rain didn’t fall that night.
It cut.
Sharp. Relentless. Like the sky had a grudge against the city.
Inside a black SUV slicing through the storm, silence sat heavy.
Bella Solaria didn’t move.
Didn’t blink.
Didn’t breathe.
“Location confirmed,” the driver muttered.
Her fingers tightened around the file in her lap. The paper was already crumpled from how hard she’d been holding it.
Gabriel Solaria.
Governor. Father. Target.
Kidnapped.
Not by amateurs. Not by idiots.
By her.
“Elisabeth Raveno,” Bella said quietly.
The name didn’t shake.
But it burned.
A legend in the underworld.
A ghost that refused to die.
A woman who didn’t lose control… she took it back.
“Orders, Chief?” the officer beside her asked.
Bella finally looked up.
Green eyes. Steady. Cold.
“We don’t wait.”
Across the city, behind iron gates and shadows that whispered secrets
The Raveno mansion stood like a warning no one listened to.
Inside, candles flickered against marble walls. Gold bled into darkness. Power lived here. You could feel it in your bones.
And at the center of it all
She sat.
Elisabeth Raveno.
Elegant. Untouched. Dangerous.
A glass of wine rested between her fingers as if tonight were just another quiet evening.
Across from her, tied to a chair
Gabriel Solaria.
Bruised. Breathing. Furious.
“You’ve made a mistake,” he spat.
Elisabeth smiled.
Slow. Knowing. Unbothered.
“No,” she said softly.
“I’ve made a point.”
The doors burst open.
Gunmetal. Authority. Chaos.
Bella walked in like she owned the air.
Officers flooded behind her, weapons raised, tension snapping like a wire about to break.
“Elisabeth Raveno,” Bella’s voice rang clear, sharp as glass, “you’re under arrest.”
For a moment
Nothing moved.
Then Elisabeth laughed.
Low. Amused. Almost impressed.
“Oh,” she murmured, setting her glass down, “this is new.”
And then
The room shifted.
Not loudly.
Not suddenly.
But undeniably.
Like something unseen had just stepped in.
Two presences.
Heavy. Dangerous. Alive.
From opposite ends of the room
They entered.
Ace Raveno.
Chaos carved into human form.
Messy curls shadowing storm-grey eyes that didn’t ask permission to exist. A smirk danced lazily on his lips, like violence was just another hobby.
And beside him
Kai Raveno.
Calm. Controlled. Colder.
Blonde hair catching the low light, black eyes unreadable, calculating everything in a single glance.
Same blood.
Different storms.
Enemies… standing in the same room.
Bella didn’t move.
Didn’t flinch.
But her pulse
Yeah. That betrayed her.
Because something about this?
Felt wrong.
Ace’s gaze slid across the room… uninterested… bored
Until it landed on her.
And paused.
Just for a second.
Then—
A slow, dangerous grin.
“Well,” he drawled, voice smooth and sharp all at once,
“this just got interesting.”
Kai didn’t smile.
He just watched.
Bella. The officers. The weapons. The situation.
Calculating.
Always calculating.
“Elisabeth,” Bella snapped, dragging control back into her voice, “this ends tonight.”
“Oh, sweetheart,” Elisabeth said softly, rising from her chair, elegance dripping from every step,
“it just began.”
And somewhere in the storm
Far from the mansion
A red-haired hurricane was already on her way.
Uninvited.
Unpredictable.
Unstoppable.
Ophelia Solaria was coming.
And when she arrived?
This wasn’t going to be an arrest.
It was going to be a war.
Bella moved.
No hesitation. No fear.
Straight through the tension, through the danger, through them.
Elisabeth didn’t resist when Bella stepped close.
Didn’t flinch when cold metal circled her wrists.
Click.
The sound echoed louder than it should have.
Bella leaned in, her voice low, steady… lethal.
“Look at me,” she said.
Elisabeth did.
“I’m Bella Solaria,” she continued, eyes burning with quiet fury,
“and I will make sure you rot in jail for every sin you’ve ever committed.”
For a second
Silence stretched.
Then Bella turned.
And faced the twins.
No fear.
No hesitation.
Just war.
“And you both?” she said coldly.
“You’re next.”
Ace’s head tilted slightly.
That slow, dangerous smirk returned… like he’d just been entertained for the first time in years.
“Or maybe,” he drawled lazily, voice dripping with mock sweetness,
“you’ll be in a pretty casket.”
A pause.
“Choose your color.”
A low laugh slipped from Kai.
Not loud. Not wild.
Controlled. Amused. Dangerous.
“This game just got interesting,” he murmured, dark eyes locking onto Bella.
“No one humiliates my mother and lives, little Chief.”
The air snapped.
But Bella?
Unshaken.
Unaffected.
Unimpressed.
She turned away from them like they were nothing.
Like they didn’t matter.
Like they weren’t the most dangerous men in the room.
“Take her,” Bella ordered sharply, shoving Elisabeth toward the officers.
“And don’t go easy on her.”
Chains of authority moved fast.
Elisabeth was pulled away
But even then… she smiled.
That same calm, knowing smile.
Like she’d already seen how this would end.
Bella didn’t look back.
Didn’t spare the twins another glance.
She crossed the room in quick strides and dropped to her knees in front of her father.
“Dad.....”
Her voice broke.
Just slightly.
Just enough.
The ropes came loose under her hands, urgency replacing steel.
The second he was free, she pulled him into her arms.
Tight.
Protective.
Real.
For the first time that night
She was just a daughter.
Not a chief.
Not a force.
Not a weapon.
Behind her
Ace watched.
That smirk?
Gone.
Something else flickered in his grey eyes.
Something sharp. Curious. Dangerous.
Kai noticed it.
Of course he did.
He notices everything.
And neither of them missed it
The way Bella had ignored them.
Completely.
Like they were irrelevant.
That?
That was new.
And somewhere far beyond the gates
The storm didn’t slow.
It built.
Because the next problem wasn’t walking in politely.
She never did.
