Forever wishing

It might be over

"Owen!"
Amelia yells across the air port.
Owen hears it.
Amelia runs to him
"I couldn't let you leave without letting me say goodbye"
Since Owen didn't know what he was thinking he decided to take a few months off of being a surgeon and go to war.
"Okay then say it"
"Do you have to go, can't you just stay?"
"I have to figure this out I can't just stay with you in Seattle not know where my heart is. I'll tell you what"
Owen looks deeply in Amelia's eyes and holds her hands
"If I come back in 4 months, than I want to be with you...."
"And If you don't?"
"Than I rather fight for my country than love you, or I'm just dead"
Owen makes a joke so Amelia feels the need to punch him
"OUCH"
"Not funny"
"Okay I'm sorry but I mean it stay here, wait for me."

((Yes I know Derek metaphor!))

-two and a half months later-

Amelia has been talking to Meredith {Amelia's sister-in-law} about Owen

"So he just left, No warning, Just straight up left, to go fight the war then be with you?"
"Yes it's been almost three months and you still... Wait?"
"What?!"

Amelia gets excited

"It's been three months!"
"Ohhh, your excited because he said if he wanted to be with you he would be back in four or less months"
"No..... I'm excited because it's been three months since..."

Meredith still doesn't get it

"Three months since I've had my period I'm late"
"OH MY GOD your going to be a mom"
"Before we get all excited I think we should get it confirmed first"

Amelia goes into the bathroom where she takes the pregnancy test.
She walks out with the biggest smile on her face.

"I'm going to be a mom and Owen's the father"

The smile on Amelia's face starts to go down

"The father is Owen"
"That a good thing right. Owen has always wanted kids. This is comfortable"
"Owen, the father of my baby, in Iraq, fighting war DOES THIS SEEM COMFORTABLE TO YOU!"

Amelia is freaking out and can't handle the news.
