"My wife wanted us to talk so let's go talk" I said eyeing Khan. He stood to his feet slowly and a few of the guards looked at him with smirks assuming I was going to take him and murder him and that wasn't the case, if he told me what I wanted to know he could live and if he lied to me again he was going to die a horrible death.

I held the door open for him and he followed me outside into the back. He didn't appear nervous or like he was scared, he probably felt relief. He'd been sitting around waiting to die or for whatever I was going to do to him.

"Bwoy, you can speak and plead your case" I said giving him permission to talk and he stopped walking and peered down. He looked towards the pool where Johan and Ajani were trying to show the puppy how to swim.

"The truth is I was never meant to get close with them. I let myself be vulnerable, your father wanted me to kill them. The reason Ajani was so sick when she was younger is because people were making her sick, putting things in her food that made her weak. Instead of using that as an opportunity to harm her I was her shoulder to lean on and I was there and sometimes I'd even bring her things to eat so she'd feel better. When your father realized I wouldn't kill her he brought in my brother to handle it and that's why I act the way I do. My intentions were bad to begin with but my conscious wouldn't let me do it" he said quietly and I clenched my jaw.

"Who was hurting my daughter?" I questioned rubbing my temples trying to not get angry. He looked away from me briefly before he took a deep breath.

"The maid, the rest of the help and some security. When your wife would be off handling business for you they'd do things and I regret it. I accept my fate, so kill me" Khan stated and I looked at him for awhile before pulling out my gun.

"How many people here are working for my father?" I questioned and he thought about it for a moment before looking towards the guest house.

"Three for certain, I can point them out" he said closing his eyes and I nodded my head slowly. Checking the clip I glanced over my shoulder at my kids who had stopped what they were doing in the pool and watched me.

"Take the puppy and go in the house!" I yelled and they did so quickly swimming towards the steps. Looking back at Khan I shoved the gun into him and he stared at me keeping a blank expression.

"Prove your loyalty to me and kill everyone. Every single guard, guilty or look guilty" I said simply and he seemed to contemplate it.

"Everyone looks guilty. Everyone could be working with your fadda" Khan said and I continued to stare at him showing no remorse.

"Then kill everyone. They're weak, it's time to bring the real cartel down here anyway" I said clenching my jaw as I walked away. Khan stood their before he slowly walked towards the guest house and tucked the gun away.

What he said was a shock to me, but it makes sense. As soon as my family came to California Ajani wasn't in bed sick anymore, she had moments when she felt weak or sick but that was to be expected.

Everybody was getting massacred and I was still contemplating putting a bullet in Khan but as of right now I wanted him to handle my light weight.

Walking into my house I slammed the door shut and locked it, forgetting I had a newborn upstairs sleeping I might have woken up. I walked throughout the kitchen before jogging upstairs.

Alijah was wearing one of my shirts and walking down the hallway slowly still sore. Her and Ainsley had been out of the hospital for two days and everyone was trying to adjust to a schedule.

"I heard you slam the door all the way from up here. You're lucky he's still sleeping!" Alijah snapped and I ignored her and walked into our bedroom.
