"Ren, June, what do you think you're doing!?" Yui exclaimed in shock and anger. To put it plainly, her two friends were being idiots for possibly the hundreth time...
Ren, who had just made a huge mess in her and June's dorm room, blinked nervously. "Y-Yui, I can explain!!" He stuttered, hiding the spilt food behind him as if it was going to do anything to help him. Well, spoiler alert -- it wasn't! Because Yui was already marching up to him in frustration.
"You are going to clean this," she told him firmly. "I'm not about to clean the mess that you made! And June, you're helping." "What!?" June, Yui and Ren's other friend who was just as idiotic, froze, her mouth opening in disbelief. What did she do...!?
"But I didn't even-!!"
"Save it. You encouraged Ren to do this, and you didn't stop him while I was out. I'm not going to hear any more excuses, so get to work! Or would you like me to kick you out of here instead??"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Yui, we can talk about this-!!" Ren attempted to butt in, only to immediately get silenced by a glare. "Don't even try. Just because you don't share a dorm room with the two of us doesn't mean that I won't let you off the hook. If anything, you've done WORSE than June. So get to work!"
Yui's order was met with groans and mumbles from Ren and June, probably about how bossy she was as a friend. But the second Yui left the room, slamming the door shut and ignoring their words, Ren decided to run his annoying mouth.
"Ughh..." He groaned, slumping as he turned to look at June. "Hey, don't you think Yui's kind of... annoying? No offense, of course, but her lectures are getting kinda irritating."
"I mean, to be fair, we did just mistaken her for a doppelganger a few days ago..." When Ren heard June's reply, he paused, and his eyes widened in realization before sighing to himself. "Eh, fair enough. And to make matters worse, I embarrassed myself in front of Hana...!!"
June raised an eyebrow when she heard the somewhat familiar name, giving Ren a 'huh?' look. "Hana? You mean that blonde woman who was next to Yui that time??" "Yeah, her! You know, my crush!" ... CRUSH!? DID REN JUST SAY 'CRUSH'!?!?
"Oh. My. GOD." June exclaimed, her jaw dropping in shock. No wonder he was acting so stupid and weird around her...! And then, after a long moment of silence... She burst into laughter.
"BAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!" (LMAO)
June's reaction definitely caught Ren off guard. Why would his friend be laughing about such an important matter...!? If anything, she had to help him or something!! Friends are there to support each other, right??
Well, little did poor Ren know, friends could also make fun of each other..... especially when one of them has a ridiculous crush on someone who's WAY out of their league (serves him right for being an idiot though 😒).
"You have a crush on HANA!?" "Uh, yeah?? What's wrong with that...!? I mean, look at her! She's pretty and badass and--"
"Ren..... She's not the problem here. The problem is YOU." (SLAY, JUNEEEE, TELL HIMMM!! 🔥💅✨️✨️)
"..... WHAT?? W-W-W-W-W-W-What do you mean by that!?!? I'm not the problem!! I'm just... too nervous to tell her!" Ren buffered, stuttering like a robot on steroids. In response, June shot him an unimpressed look that kindaa reminded him of Yui's.
"Girl, that stuttering already shows why you aren't ready to be with her yet. If you wanna impress someone like her, you've gotta be brave!! But don't worry! That's why I'm here for you, to help you with your romance issues!" ... Waitt a minute.
June will be helping him get together with Hana?? Seriously???
"You're gonna help me?" "Um, yeahh! Sure, I made fun of you and all, but I'm not just gonna let you stand there miserably while you're pondering about some more stupid ways to get her! We're still friends, right??"
"... Thanks. That's... actually kinda nice of you."
June shot him a grin and a thumbs up as she replied. "Duhh! I'm still here to support you! I'm not like those dumb jocks!" (Though I'm still debating whether Ren or his bullies are stupider...)
"Alright..... So, where do we start? How do I get Hana??" Ren asked possibly the most dangerous question in this entire fanfic. But one thing was for sure. June... was a little less dumb than Ren. So she knew a thing or two about how to impress a hot woman.
"Well, you're going to have to step up your game, Mister! And by that, you should start by looking good in front of her! A pretty woman should have a partner who looks just as good as her!! And uh....."
June winced as she looked up and down at Ren, from his messy hair to his basic hoodie to his lame shoes. Where did he get that from, Temu?? Or some overpriced store that's CLEARLY a scam??
"... Yeah, we're gonna fix that fashion sense of yours first. With the help of my sister, of course! She's good at fashion! I'll just have to hope that she's available at this time.... She's always so busy with rude clients. Next time I see another one, I'll show THEM 'rude'!!"
But little did Ren and June know, Hana's heart was already set for someone else.....
And that 'someone' may be much closer than they realize. (👀👀)
