The world was already lost.

There were no armies left, no voices calling out, no banners, no light, no hope clinging to the edges of the battlefield.

In the flames of destruction, the creatures have slaughter everything in its path. Only oceans of blood filled in the once known Land of Grace.

Aethen stepped forward, "Stay close."

A massive creature lunged, it's body snapping forward with an immense speed, claws tearing through the air. Aethen blocked with his hands, then jumped backwards. He lifted his hand, forcing the space before him into collapsing inward, crushing the beast mid-motion.

But the second later, the beast reacted to it.

Its form gripped the collapsing space itself, slowly tearing it apart. Behind it, storms of shadow burst forth, surging toward Aethen.

A flash of blue cut across the field. "Careful, Aethen", the voice yelled. Elianea floated swiftly as a monstrous winged-creature ambushed her, releasing a dark-coloured surge of vivid energy. She dodged, and summoned a large thunder from the sky striking down at the beast. Standing unharmed, the creature suddenly translocate Elianea to in front of it. It burst out dozens of greyish thorns piercing her. Without giving a break, the creature dragged her along with its claws, before impeling her, hitting the ground.

"Elianea!"

Valenor leapt upward, slamming his foot against the air as radiant light gathered into a massive blade above him. With a yell, he brought it down instantly. But the creature suddenly dissipated into mist. From the mist, another creature emerged. With a massive force, it spewed out a humongous, reddish wave attack, firing Valenor until he ended up crashing to the floor.

"They're too powerful," he coughed, forcing himself up. "There's no end to them..."

Aethen turned, eyes burning with resolve.
"we're out of time, Elianea."

Even with their last strength, they stood perfectly still.

"There's no coming back"

Valenor stepped forward with his whole body wounded, yet steady.

"Then, we'll face the end together"

Thunder crashed. Blood sizzled on the sacred ground. Aethen flipped his hand and casted out a tsunami of vortex. But no matter what he did, the creatures healed more and more each time.

They stared at each other.

"This is our only option," Elianea breathed heavily.

Aethen and Valenor stared at Elianea as her blood pouring across her body.

Aethen nodded slowly.

"Then... let's seal them off for good"

Slowly, each of them covered themselves in blinding lights. Wings growing from their spines, bringing strong gale around themselves.

Aethen reached his right hand to the sky, then struck his foot into the ground.

Briefly, thin, luminescent lines spread beneath them, carving across the battlefield.

Time froze. The creatures halted, suspended between moments.

With her power, Elianea raised her trembling hands as the ocean of blood responded, rising and forming a vast barrier, enclosing everything, binding them together with the creatures.

"Argh," Aethen staggered as the strain tore through him.

Valenor lifted his arm, forcing the sky itself to bend, dragging everything downward with crushing force.
