"Oh, God... twenty more minutes, Lele!"

"I know, baby, I heard."

"We're on in twenty minutes! We have to perform for a whole ass stadium in twenty goddamn minutes!"

"I know, Sungie."

This back and forth had been going on for at least an hour. Jisung had been sweating his pants off waiting for his team's turn to perform onstage, and Chenle had settled into a rhythm of patting his back comfortingly every time he said something in that anxious tone of his.

This, Chenle thought to himself, is what happens when you have a bad case of perfectionism and a very low opinion of your own skills.

He didn't see why Jisung should be so lacking in confidence. He was the best dancer that Chenle knew (And no, Chenle wasn't biased, thank you very much), and it didn't hurt that he was incredibly attractive, too.

Chenle took a few seconds to admire Jisung in his stage outfit: leather jeans and a beautiful jacket with sparkly red sequins over a tight fitting black shirt that hugged his lean frame perfectly. The subtle touches of dark makeup that enhanced his full lips and brought out his lovely coffee-brown eyes, eyes that Chenle thought the world of.

He looked like a supermodel.

A supermodel with terribly frayed nerves.

"Jisungie, look at me," Chenle said, his voice impossibly gentle.

Jisung brought his gaze to Chenle's.

"You're the best dancer at this stadium," Chenle told him. "You hear me? The best. You're going to rock that stage and bring everyone in the audience to their knees. I just know it."

"But what if I mess up?" Jisung fretted. "What if the audience doesn't like the choreography? What if-"

"Stop." Chenle cut him off. "Just stop. There are no what-ifs, Sungie. There's just you. In twenty minutes, that audience is going to see the best version of you. You're going to go up on that stage and give everything you've got. And, win or lose, you'll still be number 1 in my book and always will be. Yeah?"

Silence descended as Jisung considered. Chenle could still see the flicker of anxiety in his eyes, but significantly dimmed.

"Yeah, okay," he said finally. "I'll make you proud, Lele."

Chenle beamed lovingly. "You already have, baby. When you get up there, you'll just make me even prouder."

(A/N: Cringey line, I know 😭😭 I did say it was fluff)

Jisung smiled at Chenle, and at that moment they heard the announcer call out, "And now, let's put our hands together for Park Jisung and team!"

"Jisung-ah!" Jisung's teammate, Jeno, shouted. "This is it! We're on!"

"Coming, Hyung!" Jisung pressed a quick peck on Chenle's lips. "Wish me luck, babe!"

Chenle smiled. "Go set that stage on fire."

And that's exactly what Jisung did.

The choreography his team had come up with was a masterpiece of popping moves, and Jisung hit every single beat on the dot, as he always did.

Of course, his other teammates were excellent, too, but Chenle's eyes were on his boyfriend and only his boyfriend. He was nothing short of enthralled by the way Jisung glided effortlessly across the stage, his expressions and stage presence just making the whole thing ten times more powerful.

It is safe to say that, when the song and the  came to an end, Chenle's cheers and howls were some of the loudest in the crowd.

"You were amazing!" he screamed at the top of his voice when a sweat-drenched Jisung joined him a few minutes later.

"Shout a little louder, I don't think they heard you outside the stadium," Jisung teased, but his sparkling eyes and wide smile gave away just how much he'd enjoyed the performance- and how happy he was to hear Chenle's glowing words of praise.

"I don't care!" Chenle hung onto his boyfriend's arm. "I'm so proud of you, Sungie. Those people might as well just give you the first place trophy right away."

Jisung always blushed to the roots of his hair when Chenle complimented him. This time was no exception. "Stop, Lele."

Chenle kissed his cheek. "I love you, Sungie."

Jisung's blush deepened. "I love you, too."

Around ten minutes later, the final dance was performed, and the winners were announced.

Jisung's team was named as the winners, and the boys cheered and hugged each other as the announcer called their names.

Chenle, of course, was in the seventh heaven of delight. As Jisung returned from the stage clutching a shiny golden trophy, Chenle threw his arms around him and kissed him noisily. "Congratulations, babe."

Jisung was quite unable to switch off the big grin on his face. He kissed Chenle's forehead. "Date night to celebrate?" he asked rather shyly.

"You know it. Let's go!"
