The command center buzzed with the distinct chatter of soldiers who were about to be briefed about the next mission which was about the Termination of the terrorists who were responsible for the bombing of the schools and local places in Vladivostok and Yakutsk.
As the command room started getting occupied by the soldiers, entered Zion Russo and His younger brother Kai Russo, From the Voenno-Morskoi Flot Rossiiskoi Federatsii or The Russian Navy.
The last person to enter was NOT from the Navy though, but was the Russian Legend herself, Ghost E-7, the world's deadliest sniper, the death sentence declared in Silence. SHE was famous for disappearing in the shadows and eliminating targets within moments with just a knife.
And somehow she was doing cardistry with Ink dark poker playing cards with red accents. Standing near the door of the command center ,in the corner of the room.
No one could see what she really looked like as she wore a black mask, a Midnight hood that was attached to her shadow toned Spetsnaz uniform, and wore the colour black like second skin ,she wore Midnight combat boots, and had shadow coloured firearms holstered to her back and sides of her uniform.
"Who is he?" Whispered Xavier Vittorio, the new recruit to the Russian Military, to Zion Who was his college best friend.
Zion does not even look at him,..except his lips twitch upward in something that might have been a smirk he was trying to suppress "SHE is Ghost E-7, you might have heard her name in the disappearance of the criminal organizations in Vladivostok, within twelve hours." Zion answers and corrects Xavier about her gender plainly but his tone carries a mix of respect and intrigue already.
Xavier's jaw hits the floor, bewilderment embodying on his face and in his reaction, and of course he has heard the Name Ghost E-7 as a death sentence declared in silence "SHE???" Xavier murmurs more to himself than to Zion, but Zion heard him " Precisely." He says plainly, in his deep and icy voice, smirking faintly
Meanwhile Ghost E-7 continues doing cardistry, having not moved a single inch from her place, where she is leaning in the corner of the room, near the door BUT then, something shifts, not in the room, but in the atmosphere, the shift that makes people rethink their assumptions and decisions entirely.
She flicks one card " The wind is off by two degrees..." She says casually in her naturally deep, yet feminine and icy cold voice, but in the same tone that is used to being obeyed.
One soldier stands up and moves to obey immediately, not because he was indirectly told by Ghost E-7 but because HE knows she is never wrong.
The briefing of the Soldiers continues and comes to an end. As everyone is being dispersed, Ghost E-7 glances at Zion, Kai and Xavier which causes them to pause mid stride and recalculate all their decisions and look down at themselves to ensure they are PERFECTLY dressed, because Ghost E-7's glance at them appears as if she is sizing up all three of them.
She leaves, they exhale a breath they didn't know they were holding. Somehow this whole Aura and deadly silence she wears like second skin, only seems to intrigue Zion, so as the three of them leave. AND for the First time in ages Zion Russo feels the thrill of wanting to chase the embodiment of death itself
