Adrien POV

He was happy.

He heard the doorbell as he rushed to open the door, seeing his beautiful girlfriend walk in

He didn't know where he would be without her

"Marinette! Goodmorning!" I called out to Marinette, seeing her come to my house in the morning with a bag of croissants.

"Adrien! Goodmorning!" She called back and held me, pulling me into a kiss which I happily reciprocated

"You two really have to start this so early in the morning?" Nathalie called out with a yawn and a smile, walking down the stairs as I smile.

Eventually all of us were sitting on the dining table and having a nice breakfast

Life. Was. Perfect.

Adrien rubbed the twin rings safely adorned on his fingers, as if trying to convince himself that he is okay. That everything was perfect.

Even if things didn't make sense.

Even if he knows.....

That the closest people to him are keeping something from him.

Marinette is hiding something, he can just feel it.

Ladybug chose not to tell him about who Monarch was even after he asked, did he not deserve to know?

"Adrien!" Marinette called out to him, snapping him back to reality as he saw that he was in school

"Adrien are you okay? You can tell me anything you know?" Marinette asked him with concern clear on her face as he gave her a soft smile

"I'm okay Marinette, thank you so much for worrying.... I'm just.... Thinking about my father I guess " Adrien told her, calming her down as she hugged him

"Oh Adrien..... I'm sorry, I can understand..... I know your father would've been thinking about you during the fight against monarch to..." marinette solemnly replied as adrien just closed his eyes

Why was she so certain. She didn't know him. She knew? Did she?

It didn't feel correct. It didn't feel right.

But Adrien pushed down those feelings and just.....

smiled. Smile away the pain and questions.

Smile away everything.

Because that's the best he can do.

"Guys! We have a new student coming! Her name's Cerise!" I heard Mylene say as I turn toward her
