There are words
I carry like stones in my chest,
too heavy for silence
but too fragile for the world.
So I keep them hidden
between heartbeats
and unfinished sentences.
I smile when I should speak,
nod when I should confess,
and laugh when the truth
is sitting quietly
at the back of my throat.
Maybe one day
these words will find a voice.
But tonight
they live here-
in ink,
in shadows,
in the quiet pages
of a sleepless mind.
