as you know, august 22nd, would've been Layne's 48th birthday.
i couldn't thank this man more for what he's done for me. he is a big part of my life and i will always envy the person he was; a gracious, generous and kind person whom i wish i could've met. other than my brother, he's the only man that i consider a hero. a hero in a sense that i can look up to him no natter what he's done. drugs are not his story. it is only a small part of it. a very small part that was poisonous and a point we shouldn't think about. it is about the man he was, the man who made the music we love, the man who made us believe that there's more to life than happiness or love. there is pain, but it's not everything.
so let this day not be sad, let it be happy and a celebration. happy birthday layne. I LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART, BLANCHE.
