".... GASP! Pant-pant-pant..... What-what happened? Where am.... I?" Ruby shot up in a cold sweat, looking around and found herself in her bed. "My room? But.... that felt so real." Ruby said to herself as she thought back to what had just happened in Ever After. "Neo, that tea party.... I blew up at everyone. I gotta-?!"
"Yo, Rubes! Today's the day-?! Hey, are you ok?" Yang asked as she popped into Ruby's room, finding her little sister a bit shaken. "Yang? Yang!" Ruby sped out of bed and shot at Yang, quickly wrapping her in a hug. "Woah! What's gotten into you all of a sudden?" Yang asked with a chuckle, hugging Ruby back.
"I yelled at you and-?! I gotta apologize right now-." "Slow your roll, sis. Calm down for a minute." Yang said, placing her hands on Ruby's shoulders. "Your arm! It's not robotic! But-." "Last time I checked, I didn't have one of those." Yang said, surprising Ruby.
"What? How can you-? Was that all a dream?" Ruby asked herself. "Rubes, did you have cookies before you went to sleep again?" Yang asked, "No-I mean yes, but.... [It was a dream... It was a dream!]." Ruby thought to herself, a feeling of joy now overtaking her. "Ruby? Are you.... Ok?" Yang asked, now growing a bit more worried.
"Yes! Everything's perfect!" Ruby smiled as she hugged Yang again. "You sure?" "Yup! Just a bad dream. But I'm all good now!" Ruby grinned from ear to ear. "Great! Then get dressed! We leave for Beacon today!" Yang smiled back at her.
The two eventually got dressed and left for the aircraft that would take them to Beacon. As they waited for the aircraft to arrive at Beacon, Ruby was gazing out the window. "Excited, sis?" Yang asked, ruffling Ruby's hair. "Yeah! I think this is gonna be fun." Ruby said with a smile. "Glad you think so. Also, glad that you're not getting motion sickness." Yang said,
"Whaddya mean?" "Take a look over there." Yang said, pointing to a blond-haired boy who was hunched over, trying not to throw up. "Guess not every-?! ["Hey, I'm Jaune." "Ruby."/ "Ruby, we lost Pyrrha. You lost her too.... You didn't drag us along. You gave us the courage to follow you."/"They're gone because of you...! The walkers came for you...! Because Neo hates you! Oh, and let's not forget the reason we're in the Ever After in the first place is because of your plan that didn't work! What about you?! It's all about you!"] Jaune...."
"What was that?" Yang asked, a bit confused. "I-." Before Ruby could finish, the pilot said that they had finally arrived over the intercom. "Sweet! We're here! Let's go!" Yang smiled as she grabbed Ruby by her hand and dragged her outside. As the two exited the craft, the boy ran out and found a trash can to vomit in.
"Now that we're in Beacon, maybe you can meet some people and make friends." Yang said, "I don't know Yang. maybe I'll just-?! ["What are you doing?!" "Uh, sorry." "Sorry? Do you have any idea of the damage you could've caused? Give me that."/ "This is dust! You know, dust? Fire, water, air, energy! What do you have to say for yourself?" "Achoo!" 'BOOM!!!'] What the-?"
"Oh, look, some of my buds! Gotta go, bye!" Yang said as she sped off, causing Ruby to spin around for a moment. "Woah! Wait-wait-wait!.... Phew...." Ruby was able to stop herself before tumbling into a bunch of suitcases. "Hey!" Ruby looked over as she noticed a girl with white hair walking over.
"What are-?" "Sorry! My sister kinda spun me around. But at least I caught myself before crashing into your dust." Ruby said with a smile. "I-?! Oh, well. I suppose it's no harm done." The girl said, a bit confused but calmer now. "You're Weiss Schnee, right?" Ruby asked, helping the girl put her luggage on a dollie. "That's correct. Though it's not hard to know that I am a Schnee seeing-?! Oh shoot!" Weiss stopped as she grabbed one of her cases, but the lock was busted, causing the dust to fall out.
"Quick, grab the dust!" Weiss said as she and Ruby scrambled to grab them. "One, two, three.... I'm missing one-." "This your's?" A girl with a bow on her head asked as she held a bottle of dust. "Yes, if you would kindly hand it over-." As the two began to speak, something came to Ruby again. This time, a vision of the two girls arguing. "Hey!" "Huh? Wha?!" Ruby snapped out of it, noticing the girl with the bow walking away, while Weiss snapped her fingers.
"You spaced out. Look, I have to go. Just be more careful from now on." Weiss said as she left. "Oh boy.... This is getting weird." Ruby groaned as she plopped down on the ground, still a bit confused of what was going on. "Hey, I'm-." "Jaune?" Ruby looked up to see the boy with blond hair standing over her. "Yeah, have we met?" Jaune asked, helping Ruby up.
"No, but.... Can I tell you something? I really need someone to talk to right now." Ruby asked, "Sure, I'm all ears." Jaune said as the two began to walk and talk.
A little while later....
"Wow, that is crazy. Think it's your semblance that's doing it?" Jaune asked, "No, my semblance is different. But these things, these weird visions are.... I thought they were dreams at first, but.... I don't think that's the case anymore." Ruby explained, "So, what do you think they are exactly?" Jaune asked, "I.... I don't know. I mean, I might have an idea, but.... I want to be sure about it before I confirm it." Ruby said, then realized something.
"Wait, shouldn't we be heading to the training arena?" Ruby asked, "I thought that's where we were going." The two looked around before sighing. "Oh boy...."
