(The Letter From Wentsworth Crimson Manor)

Dear Kassius Vale,

Vampires were once dismissed as myths — stories whispered around fires, warnings told to children. That illusion shattered 3157 years ago when the war erupted. Humans and vampires tore into each other in a brutal struggle for dominance, a conflict so devastating that both sides nearly bled themselves into extinction.

Neither surrendered.
Neither won.
Survival demanded something neither wanted: a truce.

Under this treaty, vampires agreed to sustain themselves primarily on animal blood, supplemented with ethically sourced donations. Humans would contribute once a month, providing a regulated supply. Livestock could be used to prevent shortages. The arrangement ended the mass deaths, but not the hatred.

Peace never rooted.
It hovered — fragile, brittle, always one spark away from shattering.

To maintain balance, a Council was formed:
four powerful vampires and four high‑command humans, bound by duty to uphold the treaty. Their first decree was a tradition meant to force familiarity where diplomacy had failed.

Each year, a dozen humans would attend every vampire academy.

This year, you have been selected to attend the most prestigious of them all:
Wentsworth Crimson Manor.

We eagerly await your arrival and trust your stay will be… enlightening.

Safe travels.

Sincerely,
Lord Alder Wentsworth
Lady Elara Wentsworth
Wentsworth Crimson Manor

"Whoever you are… the Manor will reveal it."
