"They might not exist in what we think of as existence, but somebody created them." Varian responded. "Therefore, if we can see them, and they exist in the game, they are still real."
"I'm done with this conversation." Nathan said, laughing quietly.
"You set yourself up for that."
Nathan snorted at that, shaking his head.
"What business does Link have with the anorexic Gerudos anyway?" Varian asked curiously, shifting to see the television a little better.
"I can't even remember. It's been so long since I've done anything with this game."
Varian laughed and settled back against Nathan. "Then why play?"
"Seemed like a good idea at the time." Nathan mumbled with a small shrug.
"Hm. Alright then. I'm tired."
"I know."
"Stupid Evan woke me up."
Nathan smiled slightly. "Damn him. How dare he."
Varian nodded a little. "Indeed. The jerk's lucky I like him."
Nathan laughed at that. Maybe they should have taken a nap instead. Varian was tired, and to be honest, Nathan wouldn't have minded the idea. "Not even Venerra lets me sleep. It's annoying. I'd like to actually not be grumpy when I wake up for once."
"Me too." Nathan nodded. Now that he thought about it, most of his responses hadn't been very conversational. Then again, that headache was still bugging him slightly. Varian seemed to pick up on it though.
"Headache?" Varian asked, lifting his head from Nathan's shoulder to look a him.
"Small one. Not too big of a deal. Better than it was earlier."
"Well, there's an easy fix for that."
"Oh?"
"All you'd have to do is kiss me. But you might want to pause the game before Link gets killed." Varian said with a small smile.
"Might be a good idea." Nathan mumbled, pausing the game. He couldn't remember when the last time he saved was, so yeah, getting killed might be a bad idea. Varian reached out and cupped Nathan's cheek with his hand before shifting over and leaning in, locking his gaze with Nathan's.
"I can kiss you, right?"
"Next time you ask, I will say no. So I suggest you stop asking." Nathan replied with a small smile. He appreciated the thought, but still.
"I expect to be getting a lot of negatives in the future then." Varian said with a smile of his own before closing the rest of the distance and planting a soft kiss on Nathan's lips. Negatives indeed, Nathan thought to himself, humming quietly while kissing back and wrapping an arm loosely around Varian's waist. Varian slid his hand up to run through Nathan's hair before pulling back from the kiss and looking at him. "I missed you." he said quietly.
