"Twerp woke me up. Wouldn't leave me alone." Varian grumbled. "I think I'd rather have you poke me."
"Really?" Nathan laughed. Evan couldn't have been that bad. But, maybe Varian needed to be reminded how much he disliked being poked. Which Nathan could help with.
"No." Varian said seriously. "But I was trying to sleep and he wouldn't let me."
"Can't sleep all day, you know." Nathan said, leaning up to kiss Varian's cheek briefly before pulling away from him, putting his hands into his pockets.
"I get grumpy when people don't let me sleep." Varian sighed. "And if I had it my way, I would."
"I've noticed."
"Well, it's hot." Varian stated, heading toward the house without another word. Well damn. Nathan rolled his eyes slightly, but followed as Varian went inside. Nathan glanced around for a second before he shrugged to himself. What better way to occupy his time then by saving Hyrule? Or...attempting to, at least. Honestly, he had no clue where he'd left off. He sat down in front of the TV, turning it and the '64 on as Varian sat next to him, their legs touching. Varian peered over at what Nathan was doing before resting his cheek on Nathan's shoulder, watching quietly.
"So, who'd you meet?"
"Well, my roommate, obviously, and this girl named Skyler." Nathan replied. A girl who he was waiting on to stake him and throw garlic at him. Not that it'd do much. Nathan didn't mind garlic. The stake thing, though...that'd probably kill him.... Not the point.
"What an odd name." Varian commented. "What's she like?"
"Scary. Imagine Andrea's personality with Evan's perceptiveness."
"What a terrifying being."
"You have no idea. She's asked about my eyes, too."
"If she's as perceptive as you say she is, she'll figure it out eventually. If she knows about vampires anyway." Varian replied.
"I know. I don't know that she does though."
"You'll find out soon enough. And those women are starving. They should eat something."
Nathan frowned slightly at that, realizing that Varian had been talking about the Gerudo guards, where Nathan was in the game, trying to sneak through their fortress of Hell. "...They're fictional. They're allowed to starve."
"Nobody should be allowed to starve."
"They're. Fictional." Nathan repeated, smiling slightly.
"I don't see how that makes a difference." Varian said, leaning up against Nathan and sighing softly.
"They don't exist. They don't have to eat."
