I Swallow The Sun

My heart, frosted in rime,
Seeks warmth and solitude to dull the pain
Filled with amber and fire to soothe my dreads,
It travels through my chambers, into my soul
I feel at peace, like daylight in an open field.
This bitter sweetness soon will prevail,
As the gin I swallow slowly consumes me whole.
