As a plane lands into Hawaii (in the early 90's) a Latin Family just got their bags and etc. (you know what you do in an airport!).
That where the story begins!
A young girl looks around, sad to leave her country but curious what they are doing in a new place. she looks at her mom! as the mom ride in the road (when they are out of the airport)
Little girl: " mommy what we are doing here? why daddy didn't come with us?" sad tone
Mother: gulp but try to sound normal like there is no big problem " Hija, Selena, your dad will come, just he needs a few days back home but is coming to Hawaii but he is not living with us " serious ", but he will visit you " sad small smile
Selena confused what is happening and all she looks at the window as see people walking.
then her father calls her mother, but her mother didn't respond back to him so he says an Audio
Father: " Nanny, let me talk to our daughter! Just for a moment just for five minutes! i want to make sure she is fine" audio ends
Nanny (the mother): sighs as text him, they are fine and everything as didn't watch drama, so Selena goes sadder than she is!
in secret Selena's parents are getting divorce, but they act normal for the sake of their daughter! after all this is a new country, new life, new language they still need to learn, and her family drama!
as Nanny buy a house (it not that pretty but it a good start to live! they will buy a better one in the future!)
Selena as a young 4-year-old, she helps her mom with cutest eye and personality, she helps putting her stuff in her room, organize, try to put her hair products in the bathroom and even put her toys in her room. (She even help doing the food and cleaning half of the house, as clean the dishes and all! something that back in the day parent told their kids to do- the part cooking i don't know put let keep going)
Selena then looks at her mom
Selena: " mommy, Mommy! i finish me job" she grins
Nanny: amused " oh really, then let me finish my stuff and we go for a walk buy stuff as then buy a ice cream in our way back! then your dad can call you! "
Selena: beams as wait for her mom and follow her like a cute child
Selena holds her mother hand, as she looks around, help her with the market or what they could buy. (they didn't have that much money but decent)
as they get off store as put their stuff in their house as then go out again for the ice cream
Selena wanted strawberry because of her favorite pink color, the taste and (because when you think of strawberry you say.... Strawberry shortcake XD).
Selena walks like a diva cute kid, as her mom chuckle.
but then she hears a young boy on her same age but slight older, he seems to sing, dance and act as her perform!
Selena as a young singer herself she gaps and beam with excitement! but she then thinks she can't speak Hawaii she really like to talk to the boy.
he .... Cheeky...and very playful.
her mom saw her reaction and she was surprised
Selena smiles as amazed and awe how the boy sings so good as repeat his word. as dance too. her mom only smile!
then as Selena finish her ice cream and about to leave with her mom...she then saw the kid call " peter! "
she eye widen as curious but hold her mom hand tight as leave.
but the boy look at her surprise of her looking.
Selena only gaps shyly as hide behind her mom as try to peek out. they both kept looking until she heard his parent calling him
his parent: " PETER GENE HERNANDEZ!" he then goes to his parents quick as also leave. Selena and her mom already walking away but as she looks back, the boy kept stare at her. she blushes as look away....and the boy still surprise and think this was weird but seeing Selena blush face he only soft grin!
that kiddo was the one and only future BRUNO MARS!
at Selena home, her mom cooks for them as she hums and Selena talks to her dad sweetly as she chuckles.
Selena: " okay papa, Te Amo, dulce Sueños! Dios te bendiga " say in an innocent Spanish latina accent
Her mom would only try not to cry because of this cuteness (I CAN'T HANDLE IT!)
she then puts the phone away as she smiles before brush the teeth. but she remembers the boy from early!
Peter gene Hernandez.........sound like a new story is about to begin!
