Mikes POV

After classes were done I walked to the back of the school and into a blind spot where the camaras didn't reach, that was the spot people went to smoke or make out. Gross. I always go when there isn't anyone there, I can't ruin my mother's perfect reputation. once I get their someone seems to also be there, ' of course" I sighed. I see a boy who's a bit shorter than me with hazel eyes and fluffy brown hair, I decide to introduce myself. Must be the new student. "Hey, I'm Mike, you're the new student, right?" He looks up at me and has a soft look, "yes I am, I'm Will Byers" he's a lot cuter up close that's for sure. I take out a cigarette, and I reach for my lighter but it's not there, fuck. "You need a lighter?" Thank God, maybe he has one. "Uh yes actually I guess I forgot mine" he brings his hands to my mouth and lights it for me. "Thank you, Byers" he smiles at me 

 "No problem, do you have a car by chance?' I'm not sure where he's going with this, maybe he just wants conversation. "Yes, I do it's not the best but it's something, do you have one?'' he doesn't answer of a second, "I don't have one, I know we just met but I was going to see If you could give me a ride home were getting a storm soon and I walked here". He has a lot of trust for someone he just met, but at least I'm not some crazy psycho. "Yes, that's totally fine we can go now if you want it's getting cold" I notice he doesn't have a jacket; I have an extra one I can give him in my car. "That sounds good, show me the way'' I lead him to my car and unlock it for us. We get into the car, and I reach for the jacket to give him. "Here you can wear this I saw you didn't have one and its cold out" he takes it from me and puts it on, "thank you mike I appreciate it" he said with a smile and we took off. "My mom has one of those car things" I was confused at first, but I saw him looking at the car scent. "Oh yes I love these they help, the strawberry one is my favorite", ''that's my favorite too" after that we sat in a Comfortable silence. I finally reach his house, and he gets out "thank you mike, see you tomorrow?" I guess I didn't make a complete fool of myself. "Yes, I'll see you, give me your phone so I can put my number" he hands me his phone so I can type it in. "see you later" he closed the door, and I stayed till he was inside.  

   Wills POV

After I get inside to go to see my mom, she's working her at home job. "Hey, how was school? Make any friends today" I started to blush a little before answering her. "I did make a friend, his name is Mike, he brought me home actually because the storm" she looked really happy, I've always had a hard time making friends places I have moved. "Did he also give you that jacket?" She said in a teasing tone with a smirk, my whole face turns red forgetting he gave me this. " I was cold and I forgot mine so he gave me one from his car'' I can tell she's trying to hold back with the joking around with me about this. "Well, I'm very happy you made a friend, he sounds great!" She says and gets bac to her work. I went to my room and decided to text Mike.

Mike: Hey Will!

Will: what are you doing?

Mike: I'm listening to music, What about you?

Will: I just got done talking to my mom, I'm in my room just sitting here

Mike: I was thinking maybe we could hang out tomorrow, we said we would see each other but there's no school

He's asking me to hangout. Oh my god. I can't be awkward and mess this up.
