*This is my first book!*
*14 years ago, in Cabin Fever...*
Cold winds blew across the freezing tundra of Copper 9. Sky scrapers over 50 meters tall reached the clouds, humans observed drones walking in straight lines like ants.
"Ugh! I hate this!" Nori banged her head on the steel walls of her locker, denting it ever so slightly, "The lab sucks, the experiments suck, and humans suck!" She said matter of factly as an annoyed groan sounded from the next locker down
"Nori, just shut UP ALREADY! We're trying to sleep here!"
"How about you shut up, Yeva!"
"YOUR THE ONE YELLING!"
"WE DON'T EVEN NEED TO SLEEP!"
The two bickered on, shouting insult after insult, slur after slur, until another voice shouted: "NORI, YEVA, SHUT THE FUCK UP!"
Both of the workers stoped and turned their heads away from each other, accepting, defeat. "Fine." Nori spat, "but just you wait, 017, I'll kick your ass tomorrow!"
"Sis! Be nice!" another voice chimed in, "if we work together, we'll be ok." Nori imedietly knew who that was.
"004, shut up! Stay out of it!" She yelled at her little brother, "This doesn't concern you!"
017 sighed, "Just sleep. We have a long day tomorrow..." The drones went quiet. "Goodnight, everyone." 004 said before going into sleepmode.
The rest of the drones stayed quiet, already asleep. Daniel knew if tomorrow was a good day, maybe Nori would smile a bit.

The next day, Nori was the first to wake up. She sighed, shifting into a more comfortable position in the chains. She heard soft snoring coming from the locker next to her. She knew that was Yeva, she had a habit of leaning her head against the lockers door. Meanwhile 017 usually just let his head droop while he slept, chest rising and falling in a steady pattern.
"Mph... Ow..." Nori muttered under her breath. She hated the way her chains pressed against her shirt, which was already scratchy, making it horribly uncomfortable. She heard a scuffle outside the locker.
The murmur of humans walking down the halls as they whispered gossip and secrets that no drone was ment to hear. They spoke of new experiments and routines drones would need to follow.
But then Both heard something else. She heard the scientists walking towards the lockers. They never went to the lockers this early unless...
Nori felt her core lurch as the doors swung open with a bang, "Wake up, you clankers, science waits for no one!" The scientist ran into the room and opened the workers locker doors, light shining through the cramped spaces the drones slept in.
Nori felt the humans yank her out into the open. She checked her digital clock: 5:30am. She stifled a groan and let them tug her into the white rooms she knew all to well.
They started slow at first. Just collecting oil samples and making her lift objects with her Solver. Then came the pain. Sharp and electric, coursing through her wires like lightning.
They were letting the Solver possess her.
She tried to fight back, grasping onto her conscience like it was her lifeline, but to no avail. She started slipping, her optics fading into sickly gold orbs. A kind of cold crept through her core the way it did the moment she first got possessed. It was going to take her body. Her soul. What was left of her sentience.
