Chapter 6: Lost Friend

I ran towards the bus, but Jeremy stepped out, and aimed his weapon at me.

I ran to the foggy area, but another shadow crept out. He looked just like me…it was Aldwyn.

He was holding a sharp blade, and started walking to me.

He had the same evil look as Jeremy had.

“You’re next.” Jeremy said “You never welcomed me as your friend anyways.”

Next?! Then that means…

I didn’t have time to think.

I backed off slowly, and pretended to fall. Jeremy was the nearest to me, so I aimed for a clump of dust and shoved it to him, then I made a run for it.

I bumped into the others.

“What’s with the gunshots?!” Andrea asked.

“No time to explain.” I said, and I kept running.

The others spotted Aldwyn with the knife and followed me.

We soon reached the thick fog. They lost sight of us. We stopped to catch our breath.

Nadine approached me and asked, “Where’s Reynald?” I turned around.

I didn’t say a word, but she knew what I was saying.

This is the first time I lost a friend, everyone felt the same.

Nadine started crying. I couldn’t blame her, after what she and Stephen have been through…then for some reason, Adrian went mad.

He ranted about how he would kill Jeremy for murdering his friend.

He started pushing Vince and me. Then he started swearing.

Keith, Nikki, Kate and the others held him down.

At that moment, I realized what was happening to us.

Adrian started having black marks on his face, like Jeremy did.

No one knew what was happening, but I did. Now I understand.

Jeremy tried to run away and leave us behind, he ran into the fog the news was telling us about.

Then later on, when Aldwyn tried to look for Jeremy, he ran into the fog too.

I don’t know what the problem with the fog is, but that’s the least for us to know, because the two shadows are seen in the distant again…
