And that's Navika, daughter of Ninat and Ta'zi. She's been best friends with Kiri since Navika helped Kiri when some kids were picking on Kiri. Since then, they have been attached at the hip, doing everything together. It didn't take long for her to be a part of the family. When she was 13, she and my son Neteyam, who was also 13, started dating. When they were 15, they bonded. Neytiri and I were not happy about them bonding so young, but we respected their decision, and now she is my 'ite-i-lep (daughter-in-law).

FLASHBACK

Neteyam, what are we doing here? *Navika asks.*
Happy one-year anniversary, ma yawntu (my dear).
*Neteyam responds.*

*They kiss.*

*Neteyam says as he brings her to the Tree of Voices and sees food laid out.* What is this?
*Navika asks.*
It is called a picnic. My dad says that the sky people would do this for a romantic date.
*Neteyam explains.*

*Navika says. Neteyam responds, saying.*

*After finishing their picnic, they are lying next to each other, looking at the stars. Navika says.*
I like that your dad originally came from the sky people.
*Neteyam responds.*

*Navika answers.*
Yeah.
*Neteyam just looks at her with a smile on his face.*
What?
*Navika asks, confused as to why he's just staring at her.*
Nothing ma yawntu.
*Neteyam says as he leans in to kiss her. As they are kissing, Neteyam sits up and places Navika on his lap. When they break the kiss, Neteyam* whispers.
I love you.
*Navika responds.*
I love you too.
*As they are kissing, Neteyam grabs his queue, and that's when Navika says.* Are you sure?
*Neteyam says.*
I've never been more sure.
*Navika says.*
Good.
*Navika grabs her queue and connects it to Neteyams.*
