So there is something that I rlly wanted to talk about for a WHILE NOW. This is gonna be pretty long but I have to say it.
It's about the TADC Fandom...
This fandom on Twitter and TikTok, but ESPECIALLY on TikTok, lack media literacy.
Like seriously, the lack of media literacy is so prevalent that it's actually gotten ANNOYING AS FUCK.
And now, since the finale came out, which was almost 3 months ago, or even since it got leaked, TADCTikTok has been flooded with takes that are so HORRIBLE. (I avoided TikTok until June 19 bc I didn't want to get spoiled and I didn't have a Twitter account back then)
Here are some of the takes I've seen from there:

"Pomni is a bird/pick me for being nice to Jax and trying to help and that INTRUSIVE THOUGHT of what would happen if Ragatha abstracted is proof. She didn't try to help ANYONE ELSE."
That was an INTRUSIVE THOUGHT and Pomni was trying to help EVERYONE, not just Jax. Did we forget that she literally SAVED Gangle from Abstracting in Episode 4??
"Ribbit is also a pick me/bird because she still gave Jax a chance despite his backstory"
"Ribbit would definitely had slept/had sex with Jax if Kaufmo didn't interrupt them."
These two takes about Ribbit are FRYING ME.

Which means Hot Takes that are absolutely ASS and make me think that I watched a completely different show. We are now seeing takes about the finale and Jax's gender identity that are so ASS that it actually encouraged me to willingly pick up a book that isn't a fanfics and read more often. Yes, the takes are THAT BAD.
Ik it's a bit embarrassing that I barely read books, but you know what? Not only would reading books help me improve my writing skills, it'll help me improve my own media literacy too so I wouldn't start sounding stupid as fuck when I make a Hot Take on something.
