Scrooge was walking Whiskers. When he heard a splash, he ran to the well. He found a boy sitting on the bucket in the well.
"Oi, how did you get down there?" asked Scrooge.
"Um, I don't know," said the boy. "I'm Quackmore."
"My name is Scrooge," he said.
"So, why are you in Scotland?" asked Scrooge.
"I'm here on vacation," said Quackmore.
Scrooge took Quackmore into the house and introduced him to his sisters. Later that night, Quackmore left.
A few years later, Quackmore had been hanging around a lot more.
It was morning.
"Scrooge, are you sure you want to do this, lad?" asked Fergus.
"Daddy, I can do this, I have to do this," said Scrooge.
Scrooge left the house and headed for the train station. When he got there, he saw Quackmore vandalizing the train.
"What are you doing here?" asked Scrooge.
"Um, I-I'm moving here," said Quackmore.
"I mean, what are you doing to the train?" said Scrooge.
"Oh," said Quackmore. "Wait, why are you moving here?" asked Scrooge.
"Um, your sister," said Quackmore, his face turning red.
"If you hurt her," said Scrooge.
"I won't," he said.
"Good," Scrooge said, as he got on the train.
⸻
Scrooge got off the train, all he had with him was some clothes and his number one dime. He decided to take a look around.
I decided to go into the bar, and that's when I saw her. I sat down at a table. She started walking towards me, her golden hair flowing behind her. She was beautiful. She sat down beside me.
"Hello, I'm Scrooge," I said.
"I'm Goldie O'Gilt. What's a handsome duck like you doing in the old west?" Goldie asked.
"I'm here to make my fortune by mining," I said.
"I can help you," said Goldie.
⸻
"Goldie, I found something!" I yelled, as I chipped the rock around the piece of gold. I heard footsteps coming from behind me. I turned around, thinking it would be Goldie, but it wasn't.
What I saw was a giant beast with golden fur. The beast chased me out of the gold mine. Goldie was in there alone with the beast.
The beast grabbed Goldie. I yelled, "Let go of her!" The beast didn't listen and took her to its cave, full of gold. I used my pickaxe to hit the beast until it let go of Goldie. The beast ran away after I hit it one more time.
"So, should we explore this place?" I asked.
"Well, we can," Goldie said. "There has to be gold around here somewhere."
We walked around for a long time before we even got close to finding gold.
"Scrooge, I found something!" Goldie said excitedly. I looked over her shoulder, and what we saw was ten million pieces of gold.
⸻
We were just about to leave the cave when I saw someone entering, out of the corner of my eye.
"Goldie, do you see that?" I asked.
