"What is it you need me for?"
"Starclan has spoken to me."
A cold breeze whips through the trees, rustling leaves, bracken and fur alike. But neither cat moves for a tense moment.
"..and?" The tom sits down, eyes never leaving the medicine cat.
"And a prophecy has fallen." She sits down, too. The wind fades into silence around them as the two sit there.
"What.. is it?" He asks, watching Fawnblink with a mixture of trepidation and curiosity in his gaze. Fawnblink turns her eyes to Silverpelt, gazing up at their warrior ancestors for a moment before her eyes return to Crowstar.
"I woke on dead grass, smoke hung thick in the air, but there was no fire," Fawnblink pauses, taking a steadying breath as she shudders, "not anymore, at least. The wind was strong, like there was a storm coming, or in progress - but only with ash and wind. I was in Crowclan territory, or what was left." She pauses, closing her eyes. "The forest was silent. Cold, not even a bug. The grass was only dead around my paws, and made a path all the way to camp. In the winds, I heard Starclan, and they spoke to me. They said, 'In times when the sun falls from the sky, and flocks divide, breezes will fan the flames of the Clans.'." Fawnblink opens her eyes again to look at her leader, who so far has been listening silently - and patiently. He looks troubled, but makes eye contact with Fawnblink.
"Did they share anything else?" His voice is quiet, considering. Fawnblink shakes her head. Crowstar nods.
"Thank you for sharing with me so fast, Fawnblink. We must try to work this out as best we can, and keep an open mind. Perhaps this prophecy is not as ominous as we first interpreted it to be." He meows softly, closing his eyes as if recalling his own experience with prophecies, back in his days as an apprentice - and as a warrior, Crowfeather. Fawnblink dips her head, and rises to her paws.
"Rest, Crowstar. Being a good leader requires good health." She mews softly, then pads off to her den, leaving the gray tom to sit for a moment longer before rising to his own paws, and moving back to his own den within the Highoak.
