You trust the roof above will not come crumbling down
You trust that in the bathtub, your child will not drown
You trust the air you breathe to be as clear as day
And that the other driver will stay out of your wayYou trust the rungs to hold you up
And there's no arsenic in your cup
And by the time this poem is done
The world's next death was some other one
