Chapter 7 - "This Is How I am"

As the meeting wrapped, Riku quietly packed his notebook,, avoiding Tenn's eyes, Yamato gently put a hand on his shoulder. "you did fine, Don't let one person ruin your confidence."

Riku gave a weak smiles. "thanks....i'll try."

"Okay boys,as you know, our sponsor will be taking you to the Tokyo homestay since your concert will be held there. You can get your things ready and we'll see you there." The crew announced, giving the group a reassuring smile.

As the meeting adjourned, the room slowly emptied. Iori lingered at the edge of the table, his eyes on Riku. He knew that Tenn's words weren't just criticism—they were a challenge. And Riku, carrying the weight of his past, would feel that challenge more acutely than anyone else. The pressure was already settling on him, heavier than any stage lights or fever he had ever endured.

"Come one, Rikkun" Tamaki said gently, snapping him out of his thoughts. "let's pack. We've got a long trip ahead."

Riku nodded, forcing a small smile. He rose and followed the others to their dressing area. The room was a controlled chaos of suitcases, instrument cases, and wardrobe racks. Nagi was sprawled on the floor, trying to figure out how to fit his oversized stage jackets into a single bag.

"Honestly, Nagi, that jacket alone could fit all of Tokyo." Mitsuki teased, patting his head lightly.

Nagi shot him a playful glare. "it's fashionable!! You just don't understand style, Mitsuki!"

Meanwhile, Riku carefully laid out his cloths. He wasn't used to traveling with the group, and every decision what to bring, what to leave, felt magnified under the lingering stress of Tenn's words. Iori approached quietly.

"Don't overthink it. Nanase-san" he said softly, observing the meticulous way Riku folded his shirts. "You've prepared for worse. Just...focus on the project and the team. Everything else will fall into place."

Riku nodded again, a little more reassured. "yeah...I'll try," he whispered.

The bus ride was smooth, the city lights gradually giving way to the quieter streets of Tokyo as they approached the homestay. When the vehicle finally stopped, the group was greeted by the homestay staff and their coordinator.

"Welcome everyone!" the staff said warmly. "we hope you enjoy your stay. Since we have some free time before the evening meeting, you guys can relax, explore or do whatever you like. In the evening around 5pm, we'll have project briefing in the living room."

"Sounds good!" Tamaki said cheerfully.

"Have a good time" Anesagi added. The manager giving them small wave before stepping aside.

The Idolish7 members filed off the bus and into the spacious homestay. It was modern yet cozy, with wooden floors, soft lighting and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The boys were given a quick tour and soon the staff showed them to their assigned rooms.

"Room 1, Nanase Riku-san, Izumi Iori-san, Nikkaido Yamato-san and Kujou Tenn-san." The staff announced.

Riku felt a slight flutter in his chest as they opened the door. The room was bright, with 4 beds arranged neatly and a small sitting area by the window. He could hear the quiet shuffle of Tenn inspecting the room carefully.
