Spring Madness

A strange phenomenon appeared today

I ran to the window it had made my day

I jumped up and down and started to shout

Just as well there was no one lurking about

I picked up my coat from under the stairs

I swung the door open and ran almost bare

Over the grass into the air

No shoes on my feet but what did I care

I squinted my eyes that had been rare

I skipped and I jumped just like a hare

But all of a sudden something occurred

The neighbours were looking like I was being absurd

But should I blush from all this fuss

No I really enjoyed the adrenalin rush

The spring is so special no time to be level

I'm abolishing winter it's my hidden agenda

My madness subsides and to my surprise

The sun is adjourning without any warning

With sanity back I'm feeling quite flat

As I just fell over the neighbours black cat
