Battle Scars

So this story just came to me it's not exactly your regular Zutara story, for know it's rated T and I have no idea which couple Toph x Sokka or Azula x Sokka I can't decide you guys pick. Last of all I don't own ATLA or any the songs, pictures, and videos. And it's third person P.O.V

Katara, Sokka, Suki and Zuko are all in the fire nation, and serious stuff is about to go down

~ The wound heals but it never does, that's cause your at war with love, yeah ~

Katara and Zuko ~

'So Zuko it's been 1 year since you took the throne and the war ended how has it been around, how have you and Mai been doing?' said Katara

Zuko frowned and Katara noticed and frowned herself 'I'm sorry, did I say something wrong?' Katara asked

'No don't worry about, it's not like you were there when it happened' Zuko said

Katara grew curious but cautious, putting on a serious expression.

'Did something happen between the two of you?'

Zuko turned away

'Well it's not a day I exactly like to remember'

~ These battle scars don't look like they're fading, don't look like they're going away, They ain't never going change, These Battle ~

* Flashback *

'I know... I keep screwing up, but... , please I... I Love you Mai' - said Zuko struggling to find the right words to say

'I know, but lately I've realized that you love your secrets 'MORE'. You'll have an easier time keeping them when you're alone.' Mai said with her voice showing disappointment and something he just can't pick up

'What are you telling me?' said the prince already knowing what she meant but hoped for a moment she wasn't saying they should... break up

'Goodbye Fire Lord' she bowed and started to walk away feeling emotionless about this

'Mai come back! I - - I - -' 'I ORDER YOU TO COME BACK!' he said raising his voice and commanding. Though she didn't listen to him and just walked away as he stood there shocked, confused, hurt, and worried.

* End Of Flashback *

'Wow... I... I don't know what to say' She stuttered not able to find the right words

'Yeah it's been a while, I really didn't know what to say, it hit me by surprise'

'I thought she would understand, this whole thing hasn't been easy on me either'

'Your not the only one who got dumped' she said

'What do you mean?'

Zuko turned giving her a confused look

'Well like you said, it's really not a day I like to remember either, but I am going to tell you anyway' she said giving him half a smile

'You don't have to, if you don't want to tell me' 

'No, actually... I am fine with it, I still haven't told the others, but I think Toph knows' she replaced her smile with a frown, he sent another confused look.

'Well... it...
