Dogday stood in front of the mirror, his reflection distorted by the dim light in Catnap's office. The white and black outfit that Catnap had laid out for him clung tightly to his fur, the brown straps wrapping around his torso like restraints. He stared at the clothes, feeling uncomfortable, but he couldn't bring himself to protest. Catnap had been so persuasive, so sure that this was what Dogday needed.
Behind him, Catnap approached silently, his tall, sleek form moving with a calculated grace. "You look... perfect," he whispered, his voice barely audible but dripping with satisfaction. His claws gently traced along one of the straps, adjusting it, making sure it fit just the way he liked. "It suits you."
Dogday's ears flattened, his tail lowering even further. "I'm not sure about this," he mumbled, avoiding Catnap's gaze in the mirror. "It feels... tight."
"Tight?" Catnap's voice was smooth as he chuckled, his green eyes locking onto Dogday's reflection. "That's the point, isn't it? To remind you of where you belong." He placed a heavy paw on Dogday's shoulder, squeezing gently but firmly. "You don't need to think about these things, Dogday. Let me make the decisions."
Dogday felt his throat tighten, the familiar sense of helplessness creeping in. But there was something comforting about it, too. Catnap's control gave him a sense of stability, even if it left him feeling trapped. "I... guess you're right," he murmured, his voice weak.
Catnap smiled, his sharp teeth glinting in the low light. "Of course I'm right." He guided Dogday to sit down, circling him like a predator observing its prey. "Now, let's talk about what you'll do for me next."
