The only thing Mila Henderson is known for in Hawkins is her quiet hustle for money. The secret nods in the hallways at school when she passes, the slight movement of hands when the bills are slipped into her palms. The teachers didn't know a thing, and if they did, Mila never would have been a suspect. Additionally, the parents love her. She is in the local paper for babysitting gigs, and she has yet to earn a complaint. Oh, but there was that one time a faceless monster appeared at the Sinclair House and she'd swung a hatchet at it before going back to watching Star Wars. She's hoping it doesn't bring her rating down.
Mila has only one problem at Hawkins (excluding her disdain for the town itself, of course) is how much her best friend had changed over the summer, she can't recognize him, not really. He is taller, his hair is doing a weird swoop thing that she can't tear her eyes off from. Even worse, he's hanging out with people she never would have imagined him befriending. And she has no idea that Steve Harrington is thinking the same very thing about her.
