The Wait

Riya asked in urgency, thus he looked down at the girl on the bed.

Taking a quick glance at Riya again, he bent down scooping up the unconscious girl from the bed and laid her on the stretcher who was taken out of the room to the ambulance, and Arjun suddenly realized there were more people in the room.

Ayesha was calling out someone's name while rushing out of the room holding on to another stretcher only to meet Rathore near the door, who took long steps towards her clasping both of her arms inspecting her from head to toe.

"Tum thik ho.?"

He asked as he could see blood stains on her hands ,face but somewhere was relieved seeing her standing in front of him well.

"sir."

Ayesha cried pointing her finger at the stretcher beside her, and Rathore turned only to realize it was Ragini, her cousin lying unconscious there.

Rathore's relief was short lived when he looked up to Riya, and Sakshi in the room then at Ayesha's condition followed by three severely injured girls with Ayesha's cousin being one of them.

"Ri, tu thik hai.?"

Shree asked approaching Riya, who couldn't reply anything as she watched the third girl being taken on a stretcher right after Ayesha's cousin.

"Sakshi hospital chalo."

Chhotu urged eyeing blood oozing out of her one shoulder.

"Nahi mai thik hun ,unn ladkiyon ko jaane do pehle."

Sakshi shook her head pressing her scarf on her wound.

"Kya thik ho? Kitna khoon beh raha hai, tum dono chalo."

Shree insisted, eyeing both Sakshi and Riya.

"Nahi iski jarurat nahi...."

Before Sakshi could complete, Arjun interrupted her.

"Chhotu, Sakshi ko leke chalo , car me."

"Ji sir."

Chhotu nodded helping her stand up , meanwhile Riya turned to Ayesha who was already gone along with Rathore probably behind Ayesha's cousin's stretcher ,and Shree pulled her hand walking out of the room followed by others.

Rathore decided to go in an ambulance with Ayesha , while Arjun drove with the rest to the nearest emergency unit.

"Sir ,aap pehle Ragini ko dekhiye. Vo thik hai ya nahi."

Ayesha cried as her cousin was taken to the OT ,and Rathore insisted her to get stitched.

"Thik hai tum pehle..."

"Nahi sir aap pehle uske liye baat kijiye, ya phir mujhe jaane dijiye mai dekh ke aati hun."

"Ayesha ...okay tum yahan bandage karwao, mai baat karke aata hun doctor se. Thik hai.?"

Rathore assured her, signaling the nurse to take care of her and he walked out of the room.

"Riya,Sakshi kahan hain.?"

Rathore asked on meeting Arjun in the mid-way.

"Wahan."

Arjun pointed at another room and watched Rathore taking long steps towards that room without uttering another word.

Arjun didn't follow him knowing he was too tensed to speak, yet was aware to carry on his responsibilities.

On hearing some commotion inside Ayesha's room he walked over to her room and pushed the door open revealing a nurse was insisting her about something.
