This story is dedicated to the memory of Sergeant Adjetey, Corporal Attipoe, and Private Odartey Lamptey— three brave ex-servicemen of the Gold Coast whose lives were cut short during the Christiansborg Crossroads shooting of 1948.
They marched unarmed, carrying only their voices and their hopes, demanding the dignity and justice they had been promised after the war. Instead, they met the bullets of a colonial gun.
