Sadie's POV
"Mia, get in the water!" I called out to my best friend.
"No! I just took a shower!" she whined.
Typical Mia, she's always trying to look her best even if she's about to get covered in sand. All I know is, is not to mess with her hair, but me being her best friend I will do the opposite.
I am totally diffrent from Mia. I love to do all activities and I love video games and food and I'm pretty much a dude in the body of a girl.
I cupped my hands in the water and splashed her.
"Sadie! What the heck!" she started running towards me.
She jumped on me and I fell face first into the sand.
"Karma is a bitch!" she said holding my head into the sand.
I flipped her over and sat on her back.
"I couldn't breathe!" I laughed and took a handfull of sand and rubbed it in her hair.
"Enough!" she yelled. "No more please!" she begged.
"That's what I thought." I got off of her and wiped the sand out of my boob crack.
"Let's go get some ice cream." she said shaking her hair in the wind.
We left our stuff on the beach and only took our phones and wallets.
We went on the boardwalk and walked to Chadwick Ice Cream Parlor. Mia ordered cherry flavored because she thinks it's healthier. I ordered a pistachio and chocolate swirl with brownie bits because it's amazing!
We payed and continued to walk on the boardwalk.
"Let's play truth or dare." I suggested.
"No Sadie! You're gonna make me embarrass myself!" she whined again.
"That's the whole point of the game!" I laughed.
"Fine." she rolled her eyes.
"Truh or dare?" I asked.
"Dare." she said.
"I dare you to go up to that old man and ask him if he wants to lick your ice cream." I laughed.
"What if he's a perv and he takes it the wrong way?" her eyes widened.
"Then he's a perv and he takes it the wrong way." I assured.
She left and walked up to the old man and I watched from a distance while she talked to him.
It was inaudible but I all I saw was the man take her icecream and eat it in two bites. Mia looked disgusted. She ran back to me with an empty icecream cup and was on the verge of puking. I was on the verge of peeing in my pants.
"He was so drunk! I asked him to lick it, not devour it! Oh my god that was so gross!" she nagged.
I was laughing the whole time.
"It's my turn now." she said and waited whil I stopped laughing.
"Okay I'm good now." I said.
"Truth or dare." she smiled.
"Obviously dare." I laughed.
"I dare you to go up to that guy in front of us and hold his hand for 5 minutes and when you leave you have to kiss him on the cheek." she pointed to the guy in front of us.
"What if he's ugly." I asked.
"Then he's ugly." she mocked me.
"Fine." I said.
I sped up to him and reached my hand out to grab his hand. He flinched and stopped walking.
"Who are you?" he asked.
Holy mother of God he is an angel sent from above.
"My name is Sadie and don't freak out I was dared to hold your hand for 5 minutes." I laughed.
"Oh, I don't mind then." he smiled.
Fuck me.
I giggled in response.
"So Sadie, are you from around here?" he asked.
"Yeah, I live in Long Valley, most people don't know where that is." I sighed.
"No way! I live there too!" I felt him squeeze my hand tighter.
"I go to a private school so maybe thats why I've never seen you." I said slightly swinging our hands.
"Awe you two are such a cute couple." some old lady stopped infront of us.
"Um we're not-" I was cut off by this mystery boy.
"Thank you Ms." he smiled.
"Hey what the heck we're not dating." I laughed.
"You never know babe." he smirked.
"So what's your name?" I ignored his comment.
"Ethan Dolan."
"Ethan." I repeated.
"Give me your phone." he said.
I gave it to him and he put in his number and he texted himself saying "Hey daddy"
I gasped.
"What's wrong with you?" I laughed as I pulled my phone back.
"Just so I know it's you." he laughed.
I have never seen someone so attractive.
"Well Ethan, I have to go." I said.
"Awe man that was the quickest 5 minutes ever." he pouted.
"I kinda have to kiss you on the cheek." I rolled my eyes back at Mia who was giving me the thumbs up.
"I don't mind that either." he tilted his head down a little bit so I could kiss him and I did.
"See you around." I smiled and walked back.
I ran to Mia.
"How was it?" she asked.
"Have you ever heard of love at first sight?" I asked.
