Introduction
Picture this: you're living in a small town with a population of some fifteen thousand residents. Everyone is friendly, caring and very cheerful. You go to high school and have lots of friends, good grades and even a loving and caring partner.
Everything is perfect, until one Tuesday. On that faithful day, your life was turned upside down before you knew it. An outcast has come to your town, a very sadistic outcast. A stone-cold killer.
Unfortunately, the story you just pictured happened to seventeen-year-old Lucy Wilson. Her final days on this planet were all but beautiful.
May this serve as a reminder to you. A reminder to always be careful who you trust, who you hang out with, who you love... Sadly, Lucy never got the chance to fix her mistake.
It all started on the fourteenth of October 2014...
Chapter 1
The alarm clock on the wooden bedside table went off at exactly seven in the morning. A gorgeous, blond girl opened her olive-green eyes. She hit the snooze button and rolled over in her comfortable bed, wrapped up inside her satin sheets. She closed her eyes again, but not for long.
The alarm went off five minutes later. Lucy, annoyed by the alarm clock, got up and turned the alarm off. "I'm up, okay?" She annoyingly said. She sat on her bedside for a few moments, trying to wake up. She eventually stretched out her arms, took her glasses and left her room. The room was small, with light pink walls, posters of her favorite music band, a white desk and her bed which had zebra-patterned sheets. She walked out of her bedroom and descended the narrow stairs which led to the living room.
"Morning, dad." She greeted her father. He was tall, with blond hair just like his daughter and a strange passion for wearing grey. He was in their small, wooden kitchen which had a small counter where Lucy's breakfast was waiting for her. "Morning, honey!" He greeted his daughter back while getting cereal out of the overhead cabinet. "Did you wake your brother up?" He asked Lucy. She shook her head in response and went back upstairs to wake up her younger brother, Billy. Billy was only eight years old at the time. He had his mother's brown hair and eyes. Billy was also a huge fan of guitars. He played an acoustic guitar he had in his room every single day.
Lucy removed the turquoise satin sheet to wake him up, but he wouldn't get up. "Billy, we gotta go!" She turned him around. He looked almost as if he was killed. Lucy looked at him for a little bit, trying to see what was wrong, when Billy jumped out and scared his sister to death. "Jesus Christ, Billy!" She tried to catch a breath. "Got you!" He cheerfully jumped on his bed. "Yes, yes. Now get down to eat something!" Lucy hurried her younger brother. Billy left his green room with a big and happy smile on his face. Lucy, not so much.
"Good morning, dad!" He sprinted to grab the fruit cereal that his dad had just gotten out of the cabinet. He poured it into a bowl. "Where's mom?" he asked while he was eating his delicious breakfast. "She caught a flu." His dad told him. "Mind if I took these?" Lucy asked her dad if she could eat waffles for breakfast. Her dad was fine with that. Lucy was munching on those golden waffles, not aware that her phone was ringing from upstairs.
Lucy finished eating her waffles topped with maple syrup in a matter of minutes. "I'm going to get dressed." She told her dad and her brother before running up the stairs. There, she checked her phone for messages just like she would do every morning. She saw four missed calls from her best friend. Confused, she called back. It didn't take long whatsoever for Lucy's best friend to pick up. "Amber? What's wrong?" She asked concernedly. "Shit, Lucy... I don't know where to start..." Her friend panicked. "Calm down!" She tried to calm her friend down, but to limited success. "I can't. It's..." Amber sighed. "You'll see when you come to school." She vaguely replied and hung up.
