She nodded. "Well, hopefully she isn't pregnant. I'd like to meet her sometime, though."

I thought about that. I can't imagine Josephine and Collie meeting, and if they did, I feel like it would be really strange.

"That'd be... Nice."

She shook her head, smirking. "Doesn't sound like it."

"I don't know," I shrugged. "Collie's..."

"What?"

"She's... She gets jealous easily and stuff."

"Have you told her about me?" I looked at her. "And, you know, Jake?"

I nodded quickly. "Sure. Yeah, she knows a lot about you guys."

"And she'd still get jealous?"

"I don't know, Collie's just a little unpredictable when it comes to stuff like that. I don't know how she'd be with you."

And I was telling the truth. I had a feeling she'd be really friendly, but I also feel like their personalities would clash together. Jo would say something she knew about me that would tick Collie off and Collie would try to compete with her. I could definitely see that happening.

Josephine sat back on her chair. "So what if she is pregnant? What will you do? Keep the baby or put it up for adoption?"

I like how Jo didn't even mention abortion. One of the many things about her and her Jesus loving ways.

"I'm not sure. I'd like to keep him, but let's be realistic."

"I also told him about abortion," Grady added.

I nodded nervously, inwardly wishing he didn't say anything.

"What? No!" Jo leaned toward me, her hand on my wrist. "Brayden, no! If she's pregnant, don't let her abort him. I heard that the first American woman who was to legally abort her child is now the president of an anti-abortion campaign, and it puts a lot of issues and stuff like that on the mother. Don't do that."

"I wasn't even considering it," I promised, glaring at my best friend. "But knowing Collie..."

"Please don't, Brayden. Don't do that."

"As long as I have a say, I won't abort it."

She sighed in relief. "Good."

"But there's always the possibility that she's not even pregnant," Grady admitted.

Even though deep down inside me, I really didn't think so, I just had a really bad feeling that something wasn't right. Collie wouldn't stick to this "break" for even three days let alone three weeks. Her being pregnant, it's the only explanation.

I wonder if she's been hanging out with Zech.

"Jake came and saw me," Jo said abruptly, taking me out of my angry thoughts.

"Really? I saw him, too, a little bit ago."

"Are you going to see him now?"

"I should. Do you want to come with us?"

She shook her head sadly. "M.G. wouldn't let me."

"Why do you guys call her M.G.?" Grady inquired.

"Her name is Magdalene Grace. M.G. for short."

We nodded and just then, she entered the dining area. "Well boys, we're about to have lunch. Would you like to join?"

"Actually," I began. "I've decided to go visit some of our other friends around here and my parents didn't want me gone the entire day, but thank you so much for letting me spend a bit of time with Jo."
