Chen Ai

I opened my eyes to the buzzing of the alarm.
Looking around I realised where I am.

It was 9 pm, 'shit did I wake up late'.

Realising I have to also go to Ning's house, I got up suddenly and rushed to bathroom.

Coming out of the bathroom, I quickly pulled a sweater and grey jeans.
Brushing my hair I head out.

Seeing Sang Yan also coming out of his room I greeted him.

"Good morning"
"Morning Ai" He greeted back.

"You woke up late" He quickly fired.
"Aren't you also coming out now?" I replied.
"Duh I woke up early today Sang Zhi's tutor came." he replied.
"Oh".

We walked downstairs and saw Sang Zhi muttering something before she saw us.

"How about 200 yua-" she stopped,her eyes widened.
She turned towards the kitchen and immediately hid herself behind the couch.

I turned my eyes to look in the kitchen and then it landed on someone too familiar yet distant.

Everything seemed to stop 'No,no way.He can't be here.Not after I am trying everything to move on'

He was smiling at Sang Zhi before he saw me.

His smile disappeared.

Every moment flashed before my eyes as i stared at him.

'Duan Jiaxu'

The name that used to make me happiest person back then, now just gives me pain.

"Jiaxu the eggs are less, add two more. Also this is my cousin Chen Ai" Sang Yan said to Duan Jiaxu after checking up the breakfast.

I suddenly felt too much, "Sang Yan I am going over to Ning Yizhou's house,I'll have my breakfast there"

I spoke and turned around walking away before anyone of them could say anything.

Coming out of the house, I took a deep breath calming myself.

'No Chen Ai you won't cry over that man.' I gulped feeling the surge of emotions pass.

Reaching Ning's house I rang the doorbell.The door was opened by Ning.

"Chen Ai!!" she wrapped her arms around me in a hug. "You are early"

I chucked hugging her back. "Ya I missed you"
I replied. "Liar" She said.

I giggled again"Well now move,I want to see aunt Lin".

"Lin āyí" I greeted Ning Yizhou's mother.
"Ah Chen Ai,it's so great to see you" She greeted back with a smile.

"Lái have breakfast with us" She said.

"Hello Xuan Yi" I greeted him as I see him on the dining table.
"Hi Chen Ai" He exclaimed.

The breakfast at the Ning's was peaceful and joyful but the emotions inside me were too much so I tried to ignore it and focus on my present.
