Jae-suk was laughing so hard he had to wipe his eyes. "I don't know what's happening, but I feel like I'm watching something I shouldn't!"
The audience screamed louder, chants of "JenLisa! JenLisa!" echoing.
Jennie buried her face in her hand, mortified. Lisa tilted her head, lips tugging in amusement, her gaze soft when it flicked to Jennie.
Jennie's composure cracked into a shy smile, tucking hair behind her ear as the audience squealed again. The camera zoomed in, capturing the subtle eye contact still lingering between them.
What's most shocking to everyone is the seat assignments-Jennie and Lisa were placed right next to each other.
The veteran actress across from them chuckled, leaning toward the host mic. "You're telling me this wasn't on purpose?"
Jae-suk raised their brows innocently. "Pure coincidence."
The audience didn't buy it, screaming again as Jennie and Lisa adjusted in their seats, still stealing glances.
"Alright," the host clapped, reclaiming the floor. "Let's move forward with your schedules and upcoming shows. Jennie-ssi, what have you been up to lately?"
Jennie folded her hands neatly on her lap, her tone sweet and professional. "I've been focusing on some solo activities, preparing new projects. Also... a few cameos aside from The Idols, but I can't spoil too much."
"Busy as always," the assistant host said. "And looking as lovely as ever."
Jennie bowed slightly, murmuring thanks.
The mic shifted. "Lisa-ssi, how about you?"
Lisa leaned back, her casual charisma filling the screen. "Schedules here and there... working on dance choreo, just living life." She smirked. "Trying to sleep whenever I can."
Laughter rippled across the set.
The Bong-sun teased, "I heard you got a certain offer recently. A dance mentor position again?"
Lisa tilted her head, lips quirking. "Ah... still thinking about it."
"Jennie-ssi," the Jae-suk interjected, pouncing, "you're her best friend. Should she do it?"
Jennie laughed, caught off guard. She glanced at Lisa, eyes sparkling, before turning back to the hosts. "Honestly? Yes. She's an amazing teacher. If anyone can inspire kids to dance, it's Lisa."
The audience erupted, half from the endorsement, half from the way Jennie said it-her tone affectionate but firm.
Lisa turned to her, brows raised. "Yah, you're putting pressure on me on national TV."
Jennie just shrugged, a mischievous smile playing on her lips. "It's the truth."
The hosts and other guests "oooh'd," feeding the crowd's delighted shrieks.
The banter spiraled-Jungkook teasing Lisa about being lazy when she wasn't working, the actor joking that Jennie and Lisa looked more like co-hosts than guests. Every time Jennie and Lisa interacted-even small things, like Lisa leaning in to whisper something off-mic or Jennie nudging her elbow-the cameras caught it, and the editors would have a field day later.
By the end of segment one, their chemistry wasn't just noticeable. It was undeniable.
Even Bong-sun leaned into her mic and said with a grin, "You two... it's almost unfair how natural you are together."
Jennie laughed, a hand covering her mouth. Lisa simply smirked, her gaze flicking sideways to Jennie once more.
The audience screamed again.
