The house stood silent. Jasmine could feel her consciousness slipping away. With each fading breath, visions of her mother and father appeared before her eyes. Whispering softly, she said, “Maa… Paa…”

As a cold breeze brushed her face, she felt a gentle hand on her shoulder—young, warm, familiar. And with that touch, she closed her eyes forever.
