That day was doomed to be hopeless before it even began. The day before, late in the evening, you remembered, that you had to do an assignment for your English class. It was due next day and was supposedly the most important thing for the grade on this subject, so it had to be done. Because of that, you got to sleep not even late, but early in the morning, so, of course, you overslept. You were so tired, that you fell asleep on the first period, therefore you were scolded and ordered to stay after classes as a penalty. During lunch break, you realized that in the morning you were in so much rush, that you not only haven't had breakfast, but forgot to take any money for the meal in school. As if it wasn't enough to be hungry, during the last period your stomach started to express it's displeasure with loud grumbling, so everyone laughed at you. After school ended, you stayed to help ordering books in library and you accidentally made a whole content of a shelf fall down on the floor. Therefore, your detention took even longer.
After you got back home, you changed from your uniform, brutally devoured something random to silence your hunger and rushed to your room. You wanted to throw yourself on the bed, scream into the pillow and forget about that god forsaken day. But you caught a glance of something, that made you change your mind. On your desk, right next to the computer, a note was placed, together with small, white, tubular object. You walked up to the desk, to check the note.
You overslept and forgot your money. I know, you'll need this.
(sister's name)
You picked up a cigarette attached to the piece of paper and smiled at it. Your older sister somehow always knew the times, when you needed your calming ritual, that consisted of smoking a cigarette. You walked out of the house and headed in direction of your spot. That spot, was an outside staircase of an abandoned grocery store. It was quite hidden behind the building and a small part of the roof was over it, so you didn't have to worry about someone spotting you. At the same time, you had some nice view at the busy street below. Looking at it was unbreakable from your ritual. You sat on the stairs and lighted up a cigarette with a match. First breathe of smoke felt almost heavenly, as it gently tickled your lungs. You breathed the smoke out and observed mysterious shapes that it formed as it left your lips. You almost felt lighter as the tiny bit of fire at the end of the cigarette was clearing your mind from all the anger. However, that bliss didn't last long. You heard someone walking down the stairs. Sudden panic made it hard to decide, if you should just throw the cigarette away or hide it between your feet. Because of that, you still kept it in your hand when you heard a yawn of the person who now was standing right behind you.
"Ah...?" the intruder seemed just as surprised with your presence, as you were with his. "I know you. You're that chick who fell asleep on first period." He said. It turned out, that he was one of your classmates. A if it wasn't enough, he was the boy, that you had a crush on for quite a long time. The ace of your school's basketball team, Aomine Daiki. "Oi, whatcha hiding there?" He asked as he sat on the stair next to you. "It's going to make your teeth yellow, you know."
"Yeah, I know." you brushed off his obvious statement, trying not to let him notice, that your heart skipped a bit. "Yellow teeth, bad skin, lung cancer and all of the disasters in the world. I heard that already." you said and, like if you wanted to prove your lack of interest in the subject, took another breath.
"Sorry that I have to ask, but I don't really remember your name."
"(First name)." you responded.
"That's your first or last name?"
"First."
"Daiki."
"I know."
"How come?"
