My whole life I have been trapped in a lab. I have had blood drawn. I have been tortured. I have been abused. I have been denied food and water. Every day since the day I was born, I have woken up to bright white lights.

My father was an alien and my mother was a human. I barely saw them. I only got to see them once a week. When I was 13, I had to watch the scientists kill them. My dad was shot and my mom was hung. I will never understand why they did it. Maybe it was because they had no use for them anymore. Maybe because they wanted to know how I would perceive death.

After that, everything got worse. They never gave me a break from things. They were constantly giving me x-rays and MRI's and had lot of blood drawn. There wasn't a day where I went without any tests.

Expiriment 105 was the name I was given. They did not give me a real name. During the rare times I had access to books, I would look for a name to call myself. None stuck until I found the name Aurora. The name Aurora means dawn. Dawn is the beginning of a new day which to me can represent the start of something new. Like a new life.

Finally the day I turn 21 comes around. That's the day the scientists let me out for good. The outside world was hot and bright and very green. I had nothing but the old clothes they gave me. It was probably my mother's clothes.

"Go. Leave and never come back," the scientists say before closing the door to the lab building, leaving me outside alone. I walk down the path to a road. There are no cars on it. I was along it until I come across very tall buildings. The city. It's much more scary than from what I read. Now I am alone in a scary place with no food, water, or shelter. This will take a while to get used to.
