Chapter 1. Signing In . . .

I stared at her for a few seconds. Konti na lang ay tutulo na ang luha niya. Her puppy eyes are begging me to say yes.

I sighed, defeated. "Fine, I'll play. But-"

"Yes! I know I can convince you with this one," pinahid niya ang luha niya na parang gano'n lang kadali i-cancel ang luha niya. Grabe, na scam ako do'n ah. "You can go ahead of me since next week pa dadating 'yong akin. See yah!"

She immediately ended the call. Natakot siguro na magbago ang isip ko. I pouted as I stood up to get the VRMMO game pack. Well, wala naman sigurong masama kung susubukan ko, 'diba?

Dinala ko ang box sa kama at marahan itong binuksan. Inside was a VR headset, one pair of gloves, and a manual. Mabilis kong binasa ang manual. After a few minutes, I decided to try it on. Humiga ako sa kama.

My vision went black as I put the VR headset on. Napapikit ako. I can feel my body getting lighter as if I'm floating. At the moment, I actually felt relaxed. When I opened my eyes, napanganga ako.

Did I die? Nasa heaven na ba ako? But heaven doesn't have big screens, right?

Tumingin ako sa paligid at sa inaapakan ko. I'm standing on a floating platform with bottomless ground. Hindi ko makita ang dulo at kamuntikan pa akong mahulog. Naglakad-lakad ako at pinagmasdan ang paligid. Everything is glowing in light blue.
