The next day, Looey got out of bed and went looking for Yatta. He searched almost everywhere possible, but she was nowhere to be found. Looey decided to ask someone about his best friend, until he saw Astro passing through the hallway and went up to him.
Looey's Perspective:
"Astro!!" -Looey ran toward him.
"Ah... Hey, Looey..." -Astro said, sounding a bit sleepy.
"Have you seen Yatta? I looked everywhere for her..." -I asked Astro.
"Hmm... I think today was the day she was going on a mission. She's probably already gone..." -Astro explained.
"Okay... thanks for your help...!" -I thanked him.
"No problem... I've got to go. Bye, Looey..." -Astro said.
"Bye...!" -I said to him.
Astro walked away, leaving Looey alone. Looey decided to go to the kitchen to get something to eat. When he got there, he grabbed some bread with jelly and sat down at the table. He still didn't have many friends there, so he ended up sitting alone. As Looey ate, he observed the room until he saw Cosmo and Sprout talking.
"They look so happy... I'm still so confused about what I feel for Sprout. We haven't been talking for very long... Would someone like him really like someone like me...?" -Looey thought to himself as he ate a bit of his food.
Looey finished eating and decided to take a walk to pass the time. He passed by a bulletin board and saw that he had a mission the next day. Sprout would be going on the same mission with him again. Looey considered himself lucky since he'd have more chances to get closer to him. Looey was reading the bulletin board, completely lost in his own thoughts, until someone came up behind him and startled him.
"LOOEY!!" -Yatta scared Looey.
Looey almost fell backward from the shock.
"Oh my god, Yatta!! You almost gave me a heart attack!!" -I said to her, still trying to calm down.
"SORRY!! I just got back from my first mission!" -Yatta said excitedly.
"That's awesome! How was it??" -I asked her.
"To be honest, it was pretty boring. I'm not sure if building machines is all that fun, but I thought it was really sweet!!" -Yatta said.
"Building those machines is really boring..." -I said to her.
Yatta looked at the bulletin board.
"You have a mission tomorrow! And your little crush is going too!!" -Yatta said excitedly.
"Sprout is not my crush, Yatta!!" -I said, blushing a little after hearing that.
"Just admit you like him!! You're all red just from me mentioning it!" -Yatta said.
"Yatta! I already told you I'm confused about my feelings, not to mention I don't even know if he'd like me back..." -I said to her.
"Of course he'd like you! Why do you doubt it so much??" -Yatta asked.
"Don't you see the way he talks to Cosmo...? He clearly likes him a lot more..." -I said to her.
"Stop with that silly jealousy! They're just friends, and Sprout seems to really enjoy your company!" -Yatta said.
"Are you sure...?" -I asked her.
"I'm sure! Believe me, don't be so insecure. You're amazing! Of course he likes you!" -Yatta said.
"I'll believe you... or at least try..." -I said to her.
"Well... I've got to go. Scraps invited me to the girls' pajama party, and Shelly said she'd bring cookies. You know how much I love sweets!" -Yatta explained.
"Okay, tell me all about it later!" -I said to her.
"Bye, Looey!!!" -Yatta said.
"Bye, Yatta!" -I said to her.
Yatta walked away. Looey decided to go back to his room. He walked down the hallway until he saw Sprout talking to Astro. Sprout noticed him walking down the hall and smiled at him. Looey blushed and tried to smile back. His heart was pounding, confirming more and more what he felt for Sprout. Looey was still a little flushed as he continued walking until he reached his room. He opened the door and lay down on his bed.
.• I hope you liked this chapter! I didn't have Looey and Sprout interact much in this one because I wanted to explore Looey's feelings •.
