.•Chapter Two•.
Looey woke up early and rushed to the kitchen to grab some toast that was on one of the tables. He ate quickly and headed to the elevator—everyone was already there, but luckily, Looey was right on time. As the elevator descended, Rodger looked at Looey and asked:
Looey's POV:
"Looey, do you know how to distract Twisteds?" -Rodger asked curiously.
"Well... I think—"
—Sprout interrupted—
"He's not distracting anything! It's literally his first mission! He could get hurt!" -Sprout snapped at Rodger.
"Okay, okay, I get it, Sprout. No need to get worked up!" -Rodger replied.
A few seconds passed after the argument until the elevator doors opened. Goob went to distract the Twisteds while the rest of the team handled the machines.
.•Time Skip•.
They were already on Floor 17, and it was almost time to head back. The team was doing well—no one had gotten seriously hurt, and Looey was learning how everything worked. But then, Goob lost sight of one of the Twisteds—a Shrimpo Twisted. Looey was calmly working on a machine when suddenly, he was scratched on the arm. He cried out in pain, and Sprout heard him, rushing over immediately. Goob used an air horn to grab the Twisted's attention while Sprout went to help.
Looey's POV:
"Looey!! What happened?! Are you hurt?" -Sprout asked, worried.
"I'm fine... Don't worry about it...!" -Looey said, trying to downplay it.
—Sprout gently pulled Looey's arm to check the wound—
"You're hurt... Don't worry, take this! It'll help." -Sprout said kindly.
—Sprout handed Looey a cupcake—
"This cupcake heals! Hope you like it. Please be more careful."
*Thank you...!" -Looey replied softly, taking a bite of the cupcake and feeling his strength return.
The machines on the floor were completed, and everyone returned to the elevator. After a while, they stepped out and headed to their rooms. Looey was exhausted—he changed into comfortable clothes and lay down on the bed, still wondering why his heart raced so fast whenever Sprout was around.
