The marriage conversation (After the show)

"Have you ever thought about Marriage?" Raine asked.
Eda's face Blushed bright pink as she comprehended those words, but smoothly managed to hide it.
"Eh! I don't really care for it." Eds said, hiding her face with her hair,
"Edalyn Clawthorn, are you blushing?" Raine said, smirking,
"No! Never! Who's Edalyn?" Eda sputtered, blushing even harder. Raine burst into a fit of laughter, doubled over, smiling lovingly. "Oh Eda. But, seriously, Have you ever thought about It? Getting married?"
Eda finally looked at Raine, still blushing a bit, smiling lovingly. "I have."
Raine's breath hitched in anticipation,
"And I'm not interested."
Beat.
"Your not interested?" Raine asked, frowning,
"Nope."
"Your not interested in getting married?"
"Nope."
"Why?"
Eda looked at Raine who was sitting next to her, arms crossed, sitting in her nest, a puzzled, slightly hurt expression across their face. "Firstly, Rainstorm, I want to make it very clear that just because I don't want to marry you, doesn't mean I don't want to be with you. I want that more than anything. I'm just not interested in the whole marriage thing. It seems like a lot of work just for a piece of paper."
"It's not just a piece of paper, don't you want the whole of the boiling isles to know I'm yours?" A small smile spread across their face.
"Trust me Rainstorm, I don't need an expensive ceremony to tell the boiling isles that your mine." She smirked, looking at her person. "All I need is matching t-shirts and a pentagram post."
Rain's face dropped, draining of all colour. "Titan No!" They buried their hands in their face while Eda laughed, doubled over.
"Okay, Okay, No pentagram post... What about the t-shirts?"
"No. Just no."
"Fine! But seriously Rainstorm, I love you. And I don't need a huge, expensive, extravagant ceremony to show that."
Silence.
"Eda. Did you just say you loved me?"
Oh no...
"Umm... Maybe... I didn't mean to."
"But do you?"
"I do." Eda said, without hesitation, "I love you Rainstorm."
"I love you too Eda."
Eda lay down on top of Raine and kissed them softly, a hand on the side of their face while Raine Lay a hand in her hair, pulling her down to kiss her deeper.
They kissed for a while, soft but deep, loving and honest.
Eventually Eda Lay her head on Raine's chest, her arm stump sprauled out in the nest, her hand tracing circles on their chest, legs intertwined while one of Raine's arms wraps around Eda's waist, holding her close to them, their other arm resting on the side of the nest as they fell asleep in eachother's arms.
