Link sat up, and spoke about one thing in particular. One thing that had scared the man to even think about, and Zelda couldn't imagine seeing it. The description of it made her nose scrunch slightly in disgust, and she'd be lying if she said she didn't feel at least a little afraid of what that... thing could have been.

"Wait wait, hang on. Describe that again." Four sat with a notebook in his hand.
"It was a giant, bloated mass. It's neck was far longer than it should have ever been, because when it moved it had it up straight, and it seemed to be at least half a meter long. When it stopped, it looked down. Its neck curved all the way and it's head alone reached it's chest. It had no eyes, just large empty sockets. No eyelids either. It's nose was small, but it still had one. It had no hair, and no lips. It's teeth were always visible, they were like a Goron's. They weren't sharp, but they were definitely powerful. When it's head was up, its jaw was shut, but when it's head was down, it's jaw hung to its stomach. It's skin was sickly pale, in fact it was deathly white. It was slimy, and it had blood around and in it's mouth. It had no legs, it just looked like animated clay. It was a stump that pulsed like it was alive, but it definitely wasn't. It didn't have any hands, not attached to it at least. The arms it had were dull, pointed stumps, drenched in blood, both old and new. Around it was a ring of hands, long and with very sharp nails. They were also covered in blood. They were at least... two meters long, maybe? They had good range. They would grab me, usually by the neck, and its cold, clammy skin made me feel ill. It wouldn't let go until the creature got close enough to... to bite. It smelled awful. Almost like a... a..." He took a moment, thinking about what to say, trying his hardest to fight down the nausea. "A waterlogged, long-dead body. It looked like one too."
"What was this thing called?" Legend leaned forward, concern written clearly across his face.
"The Dead Hand. As far as I know, it was a Sheikah creation. I fought it twice. Once when I was a child, it was in a Sheikah torture chamber in the well under Kakariko, and once in a Sheikah temple." Time looked haunted as he recounted it, but no one dared mention it. "I don't want to and will not go into detail about either place. I don't like thinking about it, I'm only telling you this because I said I'd tell you something."
"That sounds... fucking terrifying." Warrior said, so quietly he wouldn't have been heard if anyone else was talking.
No one said anything, but Time was slightly rocking himself back and forth. That was real. No one needed to ask if he was joking, that was true battle sickness on their Old Man's face. His eye was wide, and blinking seemed to frighten him, as if the Dead Hand would appear before him if he dared do it. No one said anything, but a quick glance between them all made an agreement to carefully watch over him a bit more the next few days.
"If I had to face that thing again," Time's quiet voice had their attention. "I don't think I'd come out of that alive. It would be my end if I came face-to-face with that thing again."
