People tend to always say, "Don't get your hopes up, and you won't be upset." But that's just not true. We need hope because, otherwise, there just isn't any. People think that if you just don't hope for anything that things won't go badly, or that things will go "exactly how they are supposed to." How is that exactly?

We can't control things regardless of if we hope or not. So why do it? Well, we see things all the time that we wish that we had or that we could have, right?

Sometimes we get them, and sometimes we don't, regardless of whether they're good or bad in the end. Hope nowadays is considered "bad" or "Dumb" because when you hope for something, it changes the course of things, and it causes stress to your daily norm. It makes you worry to even think about hope.

When you look at the word, hope, you need to think about it in a different way other than your own self defined version of it. You may have a personal bad or good experience with it, but you still are not the one who defines what the word hope truly means. God is. The Father of our savior Jesus Christ. Jesus is the biggest example of hope that we will ever have.

We tend to define it the way we want hope to look like in our flesh. But God's word says:

Hebrews 11:1(CSB)
1) Now faith is the reality of what is hoped for, the proof of what is not seen.

God doesn't say hope for this or that willy nilly, and things will always go your way. No. First of all, hope is something that is very special.

God gives us hope so that we will use it for His good. If we hope for things that we see in this life and we get them, we just have them now.

What was the point? To fill a personal fleshly desire? To say you got it and boast about it? With doing that, you are not truly spiritually fulfilled, and you will never understand what the word hope truly means. (Romans 8:24-25)

To understand what the word hope truly means as a whole, you have to step outside your comfort zone. That is never easy to do. It means you need something to help give you a push to be able to do what it is that you know is right but is difficult to do by yourself.

Faith. Faith is the key to the locke of hope. True hope. If you put your faith in Jesus and hope for things that you know you can't do on your own (which is all things) : Romans 8:28 (CSBV)

28) We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose.

Jesus loves you. Have hope.
