Coby grumbled under his breath as he walked into the engineering room that the school had, rolling his eyes as someone straight away almost barged into him, seriously, he was getting sick of this school. Technically he should be in his extra calculus class but when Peter messaged him about some purple glowing rock, that class was the last thing in his mind. He sipped on his cup of black coffee as he walked over to Peter, leaning against the desk he was working at. Peter glanced up at him with a smile, pressing a quick kiss against his cheek before going back to hammering at the glowing rock.
Coby grimaced, flinching slightly at his actions before deciding not to speak up on his worries of the rock exploding on them, just silently sipping on his coffee (he also made an effort to try and hide his knuckles as he hadn't yet broke the news of what he had done).
Peter had told him this morning that the people he had chased after had dropped it, well that was the first thing he said, then very quickly whispered out that there was a man with wings that dropped him into a lake and Tony had to come and save him. Safe to say, Coby wasn't too impressed and told Peter to drop the whole situation- just like what Tony had said.
Peter quickly disagreed, pulling out his puppy eyes which he knew Coby couldn't say no to. All of a sudden, Coby was back on board with the whole mission (Fuck you Parker). The rock let out a small noise, making Peter freeze for a second before dropping the hammer to pull some wires apart, disconnecting one of the metal panels that was connected to it. Then a couple seconds later, Ned walked up to the pair with a frown.
"Hey, thanks for bailing on me, guys." Ned sighed and Coby let out a snort into his cup.
"You had Stella." Peter deadpanned, not even looking up from the glowing rock, "And Coby."
"No I didn't, Stella was making out with Liz and Coby got kicked out." Ned sighed, Coby quickly glared over at him, dropping the cup from his mouth so he could make an effort of hiding his hands. Peter slowly looked up from the rock and over to Ned, then over to his boyfriend who already seemed sheepish as if he was hiding something. Ned let out a small, 'oh', in realisation of what he just did, taking a small step back from Coby who was still giving him a dangerous look.
Though, Ned quickly broke, "He beat the shit out of Flash, then Liz kicked him out." Coby let out a large groan at his rambled out words, Peter looked over to Ned, taking in his words before glaring back at Coby. The boy just quickly downed the rest of his coffee, he was going to need it for how annoyed Peter was going to be at him. Peter just stood there for a moment before grabbing Coby's injured hand, yanking it towards himself, inspecting the raw skin.
"Jesus, Coby, seriously?" Peter huffed out, changing his gaze up to Coby.
"Oh, come on! He deserved it, he's a fuckin' annoying little bitch." Coby shrugged, pulling his hand back to himself, "Don't be pissed baby, please?" Coby pleaded quietly and before anything else could come from the boy's small argument, Ned cleared his throat loudly. Coby rolled his eyes at that but it didn't stop him from leaning in to place a small kiss onto Peter's lips.
