Giving Up Part Two

Start from the beginning

I sighed. Max... he loves me. He'll care for me.

"Um... (Your Name)..." Mabel said, grabbing my attention. I looked to where she was pointing. A familiar brune was standing by the door, cap in hands, looking down.

"C-Can I come in?" Dipper asked.

I scowled. Sighing, I said, "This is your room, idiot. "

He slowly walked in, causing the floors to creak awkwardly.

He carefully climbed on his bed as I refused to meet eyes. I buried myself in my (favorite color) colored blanket.

I don't need this today.

"Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!" A familiar voice rang.

I rubbed my eyes, slowly opening them after. "Why...?" I ask Mabel, questioning why she woke me up at 8:00 am.

"Look!" She pointed to a red envelope. Crimson red with a light pink ribbon attached. My name written in shaky yet still readable script.

I walked up to it and picked it up. "What's this?" I asked, cocking my head to the side in confusion.

She shrugged. "Read it."

I could tell she knew exactly who it was from. It was exactly from who I thought it was.

Dear (Your Name)

Meet me in the middle of the woods. 8:30 AM.

As I averted my eyes to Mabel, her grin was ear-to-ear. "So?" She asked.

"So... what?" I asked back. Her excited expression stayed as she asked, "What are you wearing?"

"...This. " I said, gesturing to my current outfit. She face-palmed, but kept her silly little giggles. "I meant when you meet up with Dipper, silly!"

"Who said I'm going?"

"Well, why not?"

"Why not?" The words echoed in my head. "Why not? " I repeated. "I'll tell you exactly why: Where should I start? Oh yeah. First of all, he... he ignored me and my obvious crush on him! Secondly, he chooses the worst time to 'suddenly regain feelings for me'," I said, mimicking air quotes. "Now he... he's trying to get me seperated from the guy who actually likes me! Who makes me happy? Why should I go?"

Mabel stared at me in deep sadness and confusion. "But... isn't that... Wasn't he your... forever?"

"Mabel, I've got news for you: There's no forever."

She sighed. "Well, then can you at least do me this one favor?" She asked.

I sighed. "Fine. But I'm not dressing up."

I took an mp3 player and headphones and started going on my way. I had 19 minutes to get there.

Do I look lonely? I see the shadows on my face.
People have told me I don't look the same.
