Gravity Falls // Dipper Pines

You

I headed back out to join Max, trying to process what had happened.

I slapped Dipper Pines. The Dipper Pines. The Dipper Pines I had a crush on for forever.

I rejected him. I rejected him.

"Is there something wrong?" Max asked.

"H-Huh? No, no, everything's fine." He frowned. "(Y/N), you're beautiful, smart, cool and fun, but you're not a very good liar. "

I sighed. "Well... I don't want you involved..."

"Tell me."

"Well... Dipper kind've-might've-maybe said that he... lkdm..."

"What? Stop muttering."

"Ahem... ahem... l-liked me..."

He tensed up. "He what?" Max almost yelled. I sighed again and kissed his cheek.

"Look I don't like him anymore. I like you. Relax."

"How can I? Two weeks ago, you were gaga over him."

"Yeah? And two weeks ago, I became gaga over you. Max, relax. Either way, he already lost his chance." He relaxed and placed a hand on my shoulder.

"Fine. I trust you."

Nightfall came and I went up to the attic. I collapsed on my sleeping bag.

"Tired?" Mabel asked.

"Yeah..." I mumbeled through my pillow.

"What'cha do?"

I lifted myself off of the pillow to reply clearer. "Oh, the usual. Raking, sweeping and..."

"And...?" She asked.

I dumped into the pillow again. "Dipper said he loved me..."

"He what?!" She screamed excitedly.

"I know, I know... It's-It-s crazy, isn't it?"

"Well, yeah. But how did Max take it?"

"Take what?"

"You broke up with him to fulfill your life goal as Dipper's girlfriend, right? So how did he take it?"

I scowled, annoyed. "He didn't. Because I didn't break up with him. What makes you think I broke up with a sweet guy for that jerk?"

"Because, well... you... you loved Dippysauce..."

"Loved. Past tense. Besides, he... he should've known. He should've noticed me." I scowled as painful memories came back. Nine years worth, to be exact. "He should've like me back before. Now... now he's too late."

"But he did love you before."

"What're you talking about? He didn't even notice me before!"

"Well, I guess... He might've not known it, but he liked you. A lot." She started. "He's always asking you the questions about his looks, 'Is there still any leaves in my hair? Do I look good? Do I look sweaty? Is it obvious I'm awkward? Is there any dirt on my vest?' And he's always going on and on about what you write in your diary." I blushed. My diary was a big pit of awkward, embarrassing, weird stuff. "He always finds a way to make you the topic."

I sighed. "Well... Max... he got me. He wanted me so he tried. He tried to get me. I know this must sound so vain, but if Dipper wants me, he'll have to work for it."
