"...Hello?" came the sleepy voice.
Mina smiled unconsciously, pressing the phone closer.
"Hi."
"Mina... may I help you?" Y/N asked softly.
There was no teasing. Just soft surprise. Familiarity.
Mina's throat tightened.
But she kept her tone smooth.
"...Can we meet?"
Y/N blinked through her grogginess. "Now?"
"Mhm," Mina nodded against her phone. "Just... even a short while."
A pause. Y/N considered.
"Okay... where?"
"Give me your address," Mina said quickly, biting her lip. "I'll pick you up."
"Alright. I'll text you."
The call ended.
Mina lowered her phone into her lap.
Then curled her fingers into tiny victory fists.
Her face lit up in the glow of the dashboard.
She whispered to herself like a giddy kid who just won a boss fight:
「やった......やっとやった......!」
(Yatta... yatto yatta...!)
"I did it... I finally did it...!"
She threw her head back, pumped both fists—
"WOOOOOOOOOO!!!"
The Nissan Z's engine growled with her joy.
It was time to drive.

Late Night | Outside Y/N's Apartment
The engine of Mina's Nissan Z purred quietly, the LED dash casting soft blue light against her fingers curled on the steering wheel. The world outside was silent—empty pavement, swaying trees, one dim streetlamp flickering faintly above.
Then she saw movement.
From the front door of the apartment building, someone stepped out.
Hood pulled up. Slippers scraping lightly on the concrete.
Y/N.
Mina straightened up in her seat. Her mouth parted slightly, like she was about to say something but didn't know how to.
Y/N, without a word, walked up to the car and slipped into the passenger seat. She didn't lower her hoodie.
Mina still didn't say anything.
Silence.
Y/N finally sighed and spoke, voice flat, arms crossed.
"You really just wanted me to come here... to sit in silence?"
Mina's eyes darted toward her, then away.
"Sorry. I just... I don't know how to start."
Y/N leaned back, sighing again, slower this time. "What do you want, actually?"
Mina swallowed.
"I..."
Y/N tilted her head with growing irritation. "Okay. You..."
"I..." Mina tried again, the word falling like a dead leaf between them.
Y/N bit her cheek and snapped. "You okay, go on?"
"I..."
Y/N turned fully toward her. "YOU WHAT!?"
"I LIKE YOUUU!!" Mina burst out, voice higher than intended.
Y/N blinked. "...What?"
Mina stared straight ahead now, breath catching, both hands back on the steering wheel like it was anchoring her to this world.
"I like you. Okay?" Her voice was lower now. "I don't know since when. Maybe from the matcha... maybe the chocolate. Maybe the slurpee. But I do. I like you. And I wanted you to know. Before you... leave."
The car fell silent again.
Only their breath. Only the sound of distant city wind brushing past the windows.
Y/N exhaled sharply.
"...Yes. You're too late."
Her fingers curled around her hoodie sleeves.
"Thanks for telling me. But tomorrow's my flight."
She unbuckled her seatbelt, opened the door without another glance.
"Bye, Mina. Goodnight."
And then she was out. Walking back toward the apartment.
Mina opened her mouth, hand halfway lifted—
But Y/N was already halfway across the parking lot.

Upstairs | Y/N's Balcony
Chaeyoung leaned on the balcony railing, sipping a lukewarm slurpee and wearing a blanket like a cape. She squinted down toward the Nissan Z.
"Huh? That fast?" she muttered. "How quick? I thought some drama—maybe a kiss—or even sex in the car???"
She slurped louder, disappointed.
Then—
Mina got out.
"Y/N, wait—!" Mina jogged toward her, breath catching in the cool night air.
Y/N didn't look back. Her voice was dry when she spoke.
"Mina, it's fine. You should go. It's late."
She kept walking. Her steps were even, but her voice wasn't.
Mina stood there, frozen.
Watching her walk.
She panicked.
Didn't think.
Then—
She dropped to her knees. Right there on the pavement.
"...What the—?! Hey, hey, get up!" Y/N turned around, eyes wide. "What are you doing?"
Mina's voice trembled. "I messed up. I know. I waited too long. I didn't say it when I should've. I don't even know if I deserve to say it now. But I needed to tell you."
Y/N looked around frantically. "Oh my god, get up. People will think I ran over you or something!"
From above—
Chaeyoung gasped and slapped both hands over her mouth.
She dropped her slurpee again.
"OH MY GOD OH MY GOD SHE'S KNEELING—SHE'S ON THE GROUND—I KNEW IT I KNEW IT—"
Back down below—
Mina looked up at Y/N, eyes glassy. "Please don't go without knowing how much I like you."
Y/N opened her mouth. Closed it.
Swallowed.
Then quickly reached down and grabbed Mina by the arms, yanking her up.
"Okay—okay! I get it! Stand up before someone starts recording this, Jesus."
Mina stumbled upright, still holding Y/N's sleeves.
They stood too close now. Breathing uneven.
Y/N glanced away, muttering, "Let's go somewhere."
Mina blinked. "Huh?"
"People might not be able to sleep. Since we might be... too loud here."
She rolled her eyes slightly, cheeks burning. "Not in that way. Just... whatever this is."
Mina bit back a smile.
"Okay," she whispered.
And side by side, they walked toward the car—
while above them, Chaeyoung bolted inside.
"I NEED TO TELL MY GROUPCHAT RIGHT NOW."

Hi Hello | Myoui Mina x F. Reader
FanfictionY/N didn't mean to end up at a millionaire's mansion. All she did was buy an iced matcha for a tired old man on a rainy Tokyo afternoon - because being kind was cheaper than feeling guilty. She had no idea he was Myoui Kazuo, Vice President of Nippo...
